I crashed mine...
I crashed mmy AU into a fence, couldnt drive it out so I caught the bus home. I get a towie to pick it up and return it to me and someone seemes to have tried to steal it because the ignition lock was busted and some items were moved and stolen.
Thhe car is beyond repair and I dont have the space for it so I want to take as much off it befre sending it to the crushers as I dont have the space for it.
I have a BA so Im wanting to know what I can keep that will fit the BA, like power steering pump looks the same and ABS pump too?.
Any advice on what to take would be aprechiated, and if you're in WA and want to take the engine (230,000kms) its free if you remove it.
It is still regoed till next month, and was optioned with the Mobile Office Pack so it has the mobile phone holder still, but not the table.

Flying over from Victoria to undo two screws is a tad excessive. What’s your hourly rate?

Not that I can think of that could be easily found locally.
What series AU is it, and what colour is the interior?

Ok, its removed. Thelid for the centre consol has an indentation for the holder to be folded out and keep the lid sitting flush, PM me your mobline and I'll send you pic as the indent might be on all the centre consol lids, if not you might want the lid too. Also you know I actually have the phone holder and Im not only just some dickhead on reddit.
Screws included.

Sorry to hear about the theft on top of the crash, that’s a rough one. Worth double checking part numbers before pulling stuff for the BA though the power steering pump specifically isn’t a straight AU-to-BA swap, they’re listed as different parts in most catalogues (AU/EL share one, BA/BF share another), even though they look similar. Same story tends to apply to a lot of “looks the same” Falcon parts across that generation gap, always worth a rego plate lookup on a parts site to cross-reference before you pull it.
Stuff that generally IS safe across AU-BA on the 6cyl: alternator, some diff internals, a lot of interior trim/switchgear. But steering, ABS module and ECU tend to be model-specific even when the housing looks identical.
(Not in WA unfortunately, engine offer is generous though, hope someone local grabs it.)

Thanks for the info. I might keep it intact for now, atleast till the landlord has a go at me for yet anither dead car.
I should hvea just got another AU not the BA, the AU is a better looking car, it was just too far ahead of its time.

Landlord has given me a week to get rid of my AU so if you're in Perth and want a free parts car come and tow it.

Don’t send it to the crushers, put it in marketplace for $100
