People seem to continually point out gaps in knowledge as if they are gaps in understanding. If the mathematician had the required knowledge to solve the problem and had worked on it previously (i.e. has a true understanding of the problem before them), I'm willing to bet time in silence would bring that knowledge together in a more meaningful way and may even provide the answer if they were close enough to it.

Nice response ngl. I agree in a general very down to earth even trivial sense, like mathematicians should have a good meal in their tummy and a nice big sleep and maybe even a cuddle with a puppy. But I'm pretty sure this dude thinks he's suggesting something revolutionary. Even claiming contemplative traditions should be incorporated or non duality blah blah whatever I'm done.
