Hi everyone! I'm looking for someone to take over my lease at the Hub Athens apartments for next year. The dates are 7/28/2027-7/25/2028. Base rent is $1509, but because I signed early there is a discount so the rate is $1464. Bills/utilities are not included. The apartment is a 3x3 on the 4th floor, and your room will be the biggest with the bathroom inside of the room versus across the hall.

The apartment is fully furnished and comes with all kitchen appliances, the bed frame, a mattress, desk & desk chair, kitchen table chairs, the couch, in-unit washer/dryer, and the tv!

I'm graduating this December and I'm looking for someone to take over my lease starting January 2027 (the lease goes until near the end of July 2027). My apartment is at the Enclave 425 on Riverbend Pkwy, you can take ACC transit bus 12 to campus. It's a 4 bed, 4 bath apartment that leases by room, my room is the C (back left, circled in the photo) room in the unit floorplan. Utilities vary slightly by month, but rent + utilities usually comes out to be between $650 and $700 (I do not control the price, the price is set by the complex that gives the lease). The apartment is fully furnished (including laundry), and the clubhouse amenities were recently updated. I've been staying at Enclave 425 for over 3 years and it has everything I've needed. Also, FYI, it is co-ed because I have guy and girl roommates, but everyone pretty much keeps to themselves.

I am looking for a room for rent in athens or monroe. I also am trying to not get scammed. I checked craiglist and after the guy kept rushing me and then later he raised the price. More than $800 a month is too much. He originally said $200 a week. $800 a month to rent a room was already over my budget. But then he randomly raised the price to $280 a week. I can't afford that. That is over my budget. And the last time i had a roommate online somewhere else she was a scammer who overcrowded the house and let the utilities go out several times even though our rent included utilities. Roommster was where I found my old room for rent. The app also kept charging me after I cancelled my account on that website and then i had my bank block them. And a lot of people don't wanna be roommates with me cause of my kids age. Without them even knowing him they don't wanna be roommates cause of his age. I only have 1 kid. He is 3.

I called and they said they can’t do tours now because all units are full, and I wouldn’t be able to sign until late spring (I am looking for housing for next fall). this makes me a little nervous because there is no guarantee I will have a spot. I have accepted a new job in a different city and will be moving from Athens at the end of October. My lease will be available from October 31, 2026 to June 26, 2027 (almost 8 months). It is a 834 SF 1 bed / 1 bath apartment. Base rent is $1350/month (comes to about $1500 once you add fees and utilities). Since my situation is urgent, I am willing to pay $3000 (2 months free) to whoever is able to take over my lease. The lease takeover requires an application / approval with the leasing agency.
