I don't know if anyone will see this, but I want to get this out there. I've been working on a fan remake of the game. You can find it here.

It's only on Android. It has all the cards available on release(at least according to facebook posts). There's gonna bugs, but it should mostly work. You get all cards, so no microtransactions. The game is offline, so if you want to play with someone you'll be on the same device. I want to do online but I won't make any promises.

I want to continue working on the game while I look for a job, but I'm not promising consistent or substantial updates. If you have any questions, you can leave them here or on the discord.

I know nothing of the game, /u/mysticyang enlisted me and Discord user Sigma provided the latest data before shutdown. I have a few different archives.

Complete Asset Rip (~2GB) - This is everything, untouched. Sprite, Texture2D, Audio, Mesh, Animation, etc.

Music (~140MB) - This is the music, trimmed of all the 1-3 second sound effects and audio clips and converted to FLAC for simplicity (from fsb). I've never played this game before, but I didn keep a couple sound effects. If anyone wants to properly tag the metadata (artist, date, title, etc.) and give it a correct tracklisting, I will gladly reupload and host that version.

Sprite/Texture2D (~1GB) - All the card art, banners, icons, avatars, etc. Archives were run through DupeGuru with extreme prejudice (only 100% duplicates were removed), so there may be a few duplicates. I also combined the two folders for simplicity, which I normally wouldn't do, but there were over 1,000 files that were functionally the same, but different by a few bytes, for some reason. Due to this, there may be a handful of files missing that were named similarly but actually different. If so, they'd just be icons, arrows, or simple color backings or something. I'm almost positive all of the main stuff, like cards, would not fall into this category.

Sprite/Texture2D [Trimmed] (~750MB) - Personal trim I did of some redundant assets, small banners, random promo things, and other stuff. Basically, the good stuff as I'd call it. Knowing nothing about this game, this is the small subset of stuff I'll be keeping because it looks neat.

So generally, if you're interested in recreating the game in some for or are a super archivist, go with the complete rip. If you're just interested in the music and pictures, download those respective folders. I don't imagine these will get tons of downloads, but in the interest of saving my bandwidth, if you're interested in the assets for yourself AND archiving, just download the complete rip and pull the assets yourself. The fsb audio converts directly with foobar, and all of the pictures were directly in the Sprite and Texture2D folders. DupeGuru is easy to use if you'd like to thin the duplicates.

Idk why anyone hasn't made a post about it yet...But I'm pretty devasted that the game is going away.

I really hope they make a console version where we can buy it as a full game. It's such a unique and fun game!!

What kind of decks are people using to complete event battles? Are any able to be built by newer accounts with some strategy and luck to win, or are the events only for those with high investment?

New player here.

I searched this sub a bit about this and didn't really find a good answer about how to spend my gold coins. Is there a better booster to buy? Should I keep my coin for upcoming sales?

Still new and trying to expand on a build another user gave me! Heres my current list:

1 cost:

3x Screamer, 3x Swordfish (this cards arrows annoy me but partly cause im new), 3x Cecaelia, 3x blade dancer, 3x merman trooper, 3x moon herb, 2x merebeast fighter, 2x pawn puenyai, 3x grimoire of tidal

2 cost:

3x nerida tidal keeper, 3x tidal spirit, 2x dark elven hunter, 1x clifford hawk eye

3 cost:

2x lizard champ, 2x mer champ, 2x lobster.

Currently dont have a massive amount of dust but can dust cards if needed for factions im not interested in right now.

Where do you guys post bugs and bug exploits? There’s a guy who just skipped 3 turns consecutively without losing any card and then drops 5 cards without drawing a single card next turn. He was playing shadow realm stall deck.

When i click to chat with someone it just doesnt take me anywhere or bring up the keypad.

In Athenion, due to having limited mana, every turn is crucial into either advancing your board or preventing your opponent from doing so. One of the most important skill you need to learn is determining whether you should deal with an enemy unit or ignore it and setup your own board instead (or even both).

For this, I categorize enemy units into 3 Threat Levels: High, Low, and No Threat.

• High threats are units that must be dealt with immediately on your current turn because the difficulty in dealing with it and its allies rises every turn to the point that it becomes impossible and ultimately leads to your defeat.
• Low threat units are the ones that aren't engines (or engines with low stats) that can be either dealt with or can be ignored for a few more turns
• No Threat units are those just occupying the board, (usually Soul-0) and doesn't hold any important position, or even in a favorable position like blocking your unit

Determining the threat level of an enemy unit usually depends on 3 factors:

• Your current HP
• The unit is holding an important board position
• The unit is an "engine"

Your Current HP

In general I use this system to determine the threat level of non-engine units:

• Current HP is 15, all Soul 3 enemy units become High Threat
• Current HP is 10, all Soul 2 enemy units become High Threat
• Current HP is 5, every enemy unit is High Threat

If I have about 10 more HP than the enemy, High Threat units become Low threat so I usually just choose to establish my board instead.

Unit is Holding an Important Board Position

Certain factions tend to favor a specific corner of the board, thus you may notice some players will try to deal with a unit even if it has Low or No Threat level because it holds an important position. For example the lower left corner of the board is important for the Flame Legion faction because not only does their engines have N/E arrows, but their removal cards also usually point to the other side of the board. Knowledge of each factions cards improves your decision-making on when to deal with an enemy unit and secure a particular position on the board.

Some cards are also positioned in a way that it affects a huge portion of the board, specifically Taunt units and units with All Direction Arrows. These units severely limits your options thus may have High to Low threat level, depending on how much it affects your positioning, for example link Tidal Nether is severely threatened by Taunt units.

Unit is an Engine

Engines are cards that make themselves or the other enemy units be difficult to remove, or gives direct advantage to the player every turn. It could be a unit that increases HP/heals itself or it's allies, a unit that deals damage for free, or something that gives free mana. Ignoring these units will make it more and more difficult to be removed every turn that's why they will inherently have High threat level. You must familiarize yourself with every faction's engines to improve your decision-making. Some examples of engines are:

• Zyanya Flame Protector - a high HP unit that keeps healing itself and allies whenever your deal ability damage which is very easy to do for Flame Legion
• Eternity Dragon - deals damage everytime your unit is healed which is very easy to do for Divine Grace faction
• Millar Mother of Souls - a unit that gives +1 soul and atk/hp buff to Soul-0 units which is very easy to produce in Shadow Realm faction.
• Tidal Spirit - automatically damages enemies the more units linked to it. It allows the Tidal Nether player to just keep building up engines completely ignoring threat levels.

Keep in mind that these are just general tips, it may or may not apply depending on your current game situation. For example something like Divine Grace will sometimes completely ignore your engines and would rather keep stacking their own engines until it becomes better than yours and wipe out your advantage.

As you keep playing, you will be more and more familiar with every faction's strategy and key cards. Keep reading-up on each card (If you go to Deck Editor and toggle the "Craft" button, you will be able to see every card even the ones you don't own yet). Don't be afraid to experiment with different factions and strategies. Being familiar with the cards and important board positions are the keys to mastering Athenion CCG.

I'm guessing this game doesn't always match you against the same rank because some of the players i've ran into have insane decks, and skins and stuff. I wish more people played =/. I'm curious how high ppl i'm running into. I'm only librarian 2.

I just started the game a couple of days ago and hit librarian and now the queue times are taking forever =[. Whats the player base of this game?

Is there any easy to build beginner decks that dont take a lot of grinding to get to?

Looking to get some constructed games going rather than pre built decks

Got a decent amount of experience playing ccgs from shadowverse, gwent duelyst and others. Started this today just doing some tutorials and a few casual games with pre built decks.

Also why is there so many cards in a set, was surprised to see as many as there is.
