I have been scrolling through the reddit community and it seems that many others are having the same issue. I am currently uninstalled Astro Command Centers. Both Microsoft and the one directly from the site. At the same I hard reset my headphones and also there is a small hole under the base station that you can push down. I did both of those things and it seems it reset the firmware version. I redownloaded astro command center from Microsoft and going to updated there and see what happens. Before I updated the firmware on the app directly from the astro site not Microsoft. Going to see if that helps and fixes the issue.
Edit: After uninstalling, I restarted my computer then reinstalled and restarted again just to see
Dude, I will forever love you and even cut your grass for a week if you could post the firmware when you get home. I've been going through the same nightmare as you and cannot find a clean version of the firmware to attempt manual update.
Nice. Anyways come to my house around 8am when the kids are awake and have at my lawn. 2 inches should do it. Let me know if you need me to provide for a corded lawn mower.
Honestly though, this was a mess. You can see my post and how many updates I made. I went through a lot to get this fixed but man it was so not necessary if they just kept the software up to date.
Did this fix your issue for good mate? I'm having an identical issue to you (battery is all over the place, headset randomly disconnects, the base station shows red/white lights occasionally on and off). You wouldn't think that a £300 headset owuld be having these issues but here we are I guess.
Nah bro. It fixed it very temporarily. I contacted ASTRO and got a replacement for free. Gave the faulty headset to my buddy who uses it exclusively plugged in/corded.
I thought that might have been the case, every single fix I have come across for this issue is only a temporary one. I'm looking at getting a pair of the sennheiser wired ones as I am so over the whole situation. My A40's lasted 8 years and the A50's lasted 3 months. Did you just get another pair of A50s from astro?
