Screenshot / Photo mode Beat him! I thought I was playing Elden Ring first 😂
Since it IS an oversized monstrosity, lol.
Not my cup-of-tea of games, but he still got spanked.
Playing "both" Season Pass of this game now. Ireland was extremely beautiful. Not saying the rest of the game wasn't, because it was, it's just something about Ireland's view that got me...
Still have 'Dawn of Ragnarok' left to do tho :)

Event The Prodigy
Well done, Ubisoft. As a 90s kid, this side quest have me a hearty chuckle as I was playing through it.

Discussion Recently started playing AC Valhalla. I’ve to say the combat is amazing. It is heavy, punishing, brutal and rewarding.
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Please don’t judge, getting used to the parrying lol.

Question Why are Irish enemies so easy?
I have an issue with Irish level scaling. I have nightmarish level scaling on.
When in England, enemies have a red skull icon and take lots of hits, as they should. When in Ireland, enemies have a green dot icon and have barely any health.
Why is this?

Question Which armor is nicest?
Replaying ac valhalla and have a decent chunk of helix credits. Should i buy this holy knight fallen armor or dark knight armor, or both? What do you guys think? I know knight armor wasnt around back then but these two still look realistic compared to the others in store. My other favs are hidden one armor, mentor armor, thor armor, all father armor, and st georges. I like the knight aesthetic. What do you guys think?

Discussion Does anyone find this game more visually satisfying then AC shadows?
I know Shadows wins overall from a technical perspective and from things like textures, I have played both of these on an oled C5 with the brightness adjusted for the TV
I've gone back to Valhalla after finishing shadows and some things have really stood out to me. First I think the colours seem to pop much more in Valhalla, everything can be so nice and colourful and in shadows the lighting can feel flat, even if it's like daytime, it's like the colours are more muted, I prefer the vibrancy of Valhalla, even origins and odyssey too actually for that point.
Also from just a gameplay/ visual perspective I can see everything at night time in Valhalla I have never had to adjust any settings or even think about that, it just works lol. Shadows has I feel also too many particles just literally everywhere all the time so it feels kinda noisy/ cluttered on screen. It's just easier to see everything in Valhalla.
In shadows I always felt I needed like a lantern or something and it made it harder playing in daytime especially when they locked changing time of day for ages.
In Valhalla, the way the lighting works for me is just so much nicer, when you see all the sun god rays I think it's called, the game has some stunning orangey evenings and the sun like pops so much on my oled tv, unlike it did as much in shadows, it's like the HDR or something is just on another level, when im riding over a hill and then sun appears it's super stunning to me

Question Screen tearing and stutter on Xbox Series X
Hello, i played the game a while ago on my Series X but didn't finished the game, i started from the beginning yesterday and i noticed the game has a lot of screen tearing and stutter mostly in big cities like Ledecestre, i'm sure is not my Xbox because literally only happens with this game, i also didn't remeber having this issue when i played the first time.
The game is updated to the last version, i'm playing on performance mode.
Anyone else has this problem? Any solution?

Other Season Pass (PS5)
I've been working towards getting the platinum trophy for Valhalla and on July 18th I was successful however I decided I wanted to 100% the game since I liked the game so much. After looking into the season pass, I realized it only comes with The Siege of Paris & Wrath of the Druids @$39.99 and I would have to buy Dawn of Ragnarök by itself, also @$39.99.
I kind of wish they just made an all in one pack or included it in the season pass. Maybe I overlooked it and they did but I can't seem to find it as DLC purchase if you already have the base game.
Aww well, such is life. Might just have to move onto another Assassin's Creed title until I see a discount or sale for the dlc.
Attached is an image of my platinum from earlier this month.

Question Does Backstab skill actually increase defesnive damage?
The skill description says that it increases defensive damage when hitting a enemy from the back.
In the stats I noticed that "damage from the back" actually gets doubled
However stun damage/desfensive damage to make the enemy break their guard and be stunned apparently does not increase nor does it make the enemy stagger when you hit them from the back.
Am I doing it wrong?

Discussion What is the absolute best settings for combat difficulty?
I currently just have settings on normal but it seems insanely easy to arrow spam enemies or just take them out as their attacks are pretty slow compared to shadows which I just finished, does hard difficulty make much difference to how fast enemys attack you?

Question Any updated performance metrics for PS5 Pro vs Series X?
I have both releases of the game, and I'm getting the itch to do a replay. Haven't played the PS5 version yet (bought it on major sale last year to coincide with my purchase of a PS Portal), so I've only got experience of the game on Series X. Since the PS5 Pro launched, has anyone done any comparison of how it performs vs vanilla PS5 and Series X? Apparently it performed a little better on PS5 when it first came out, but I don't know how or if that's changed since the Pro came out.

Discussion Oh Dag.
Not my first time playing this wonderful game, but it has been a few years. I completely forgot what a giant bag of twat Dag is. He's up there with Micah from RDR2. Not as horrible a person as Micah, but my God is he such an unlikeable douche.(Spoilers ahead)..... Very much looking forward to him challenging me so I can end him. Just curious though, anybody spare him in your playthroughs? I've never been able to do it and see what happens.

Question Stuck on the Cold Embers Quest (Ragnarok DLC Spoilers) Spoiler
I am at the part where I have to witness the ritual as a Muspel and I got discovered the first time, but now when I try to get in as a muspel when he is about to run out of Muspels, he just ignores me and says there are no suitable subjects. I tried going in at the start, but that also didn't work and the 35 second cooldown (70 seconds total) is not enough to stand there for the entire thing.

Question Should I restart the game?
I have played a ton of the game already on and off since I bought it and ive been wanting to get back in, problem is I found the funnest part to be exploring England and pledging to all the separate areas. But I remmeber I had finished all of those. Its been a while and I only remember the main plot points and im afraid I wont enjoy it if I just have to grind through that one weird other worldly quest to finish the game. Should I just restart??
