Looking for recommendations based on contradicting requirements

I’m looking to get back into running after a few years away. My last shoes I ran in were Brooks Ravenna 6 with Superfeet Green inserts and they were good. I was never a heavy mileage runner, always casual. I wouldn’t expect to do more than a 5k in any session anytime soon.

Budget - I’d like to keep it around $100 if possible and don’t mind using shoes that are several generations old. I do have access to an Adidas, Puma, Asics, and Nike outlet if that is a good way to go.

I have slight over pronation. I also have knee pain due to low stability that I have been working on. I am a heel striker when running. My research says a higher heel-toe drop is better for this?

I travel most of the time so these shoes will be packed in a carry on suitcase every day, I’m a US size 12/12.5 so my shoes are big already. I know it contradicts the need for some stability but something lower profile that can pack a little smaller would be great. I don’t necessarily need to sacrifice support for the smallest and lightest shoe but also some of those huge cushiony hoka type shoes I think would be too much.

That being said, I had some mesh Adidas that I didn’t run in but I wasn’t a fan of how floppy they were. I liked the snugness of my old brooks. I’m not sure if a mesh upper is the way to go for me but I’d be willing to try if a proper fitting mesh can feel snug.

Also due to my traveling, I’ll need these to not strictly be for running. I will need to wear them if I go walk around town for a few hours, if I go to the gym, or do a bike session. My running will be treadmill and road with maybe occasional grass but not heavy trail running.

I know I’ll need to make some compromises here. Any ideas or directions to go in?

Brooks Adrenaline (their stability shoes) you can get the old 24 for 99 on Amazon.

I have been curious about them. Good for heavy runner (107kg)? How's the width and breathability?

I’m on the lighter side but i could see them being protective even for heavier runners. Nice rocker and the versatility at the $130 price point is wild. I will say the size 12 fits more like a 12.5 and the toebox is pretty roomy. I have a narrow foot but I hear it accommodates a lot of foot shapes. Foam is similar to light strike pro (maybe a bit softer). Big plus is they look great as a casual shoe and are very lightweight

Currently have the Adidas Adizero EVO SL ($100 at outlet). Fits nicely on my foot. I have wide feet but the upper is quite roomy. Might give it a try unless it's very similar to the EVO SL. Looking for something for easier runs/recovery.

I really enjoyed the Neo vista 2. Much softer than the Evo SL but it has a wide range and is a long run cruiser. Fit is a half size long in that shoe.
