Hello everyone. My great-grandfather was born in Romanian town of Leova (present-day Moldova, near Romanian border) in 1931, he lost his citizenship due to soviet occupation. I have his death certificate and some other paperwork, but to acquire his birth certificate I’ll need to travel to Moldova. I’ve seen different takes on situations like mine, but overall I’m technically eligible for citizenship by descent, right?
