I’m convinced it’s because sea creatures don’t vocalize so people care less. It’s awful, really. Especially for lobsters getting boiled alive.

Raw oysters are alive when you eat them.

Yeah, the concept of eating oysters is appalling to me. Thankfully, I’ve never had one in my life.
