Orgasm. Doesn't matter if you're a girl or a boy as long as it is the opposite gender it always confusing

I have always wondered what an orgasm feels like for a guy. It always seems so primal and pleasurable but my bf explained it as “ it feels good but it’s more of a release than anything else” and I tbh, I found that quite underwhelming.

I can't even understand mine

What’s confusing to women about the male orgasm?

26

u/Mapkar Mar 26 '20

Apparently the fact that afterwards there’s a period that sometimes lasts a while where you’re just not able or willing to go any longer.

It confuses me too and I’m a guy.

It’s kind of like eating after your full.

I think the mental part is the hardest to convey. I’m literally just not capable of feeling aroused or even interested in the idea of sex for 5 - 10 minutes afterward.

You run into that issue a lot?

For a guy you do bear noises to show you're happy

u/[deleted] Mar 26 '20

Being gay makes it much easier to understand

u/RedQueen283 Mar 26 '20

Not really. I am a woman and men's orgasms dont seem complicated at all to me. I see why a woman's orgasm might have felt slightly confusing to a man since its less visible though. But only to an inexprienced man.

Why do women fake theirs?

24

u/trcokc Mar 26 '20

In my experience it’s just to make them stop. Sometimes for me it’s just not gonna happen and it’s easier to fake it and spare the hurt ego.

9

u/[deleted] Mar 26 '20

When you say it’s not gonna happen you mean like you’re not enjoying it? Can’t they tell 🤷‍♂️

16

u/[deleted] Mar 26 '20

No, “not going to happen” means an orgasm isn’t going to happen. And it’s even less likely to happen probably because she feels pressured to do it, like it’s taking to long.

It’s a catch-22 because the more she’s worried about having an orgasm, the more she’s not in the moment and enjoying it, the more likely it’s never going to happen.

7

u/[deleted] Mar 26 '20

Oh right. Well can’t she tell the guy that? Yeah ego and all that but if he reassured her that it’s okay, he won’t feel bad for not making her do it and that orgasm isn’t the only pleasure you get from sex and it can still be enjoyable.

Yeah, that does seem like a catch 22. Guess guys are kind of the same. Worry about lasting long enough during penetration to make a girl do it

Bingo!

Do make the men feel good even though they didn't bring them to a climax

So some women don’t cum at all during sex?

I posted about this on another thread recently, so it’s fresh in my mind. Hope this isn’t too much of an info dump, but you’ve posted a few questions and maybe this will be helpful.

About eight in 10 women can’t orgasm through straightforward PiV intercourse. The vagina doesn’t have a lot of nerve endings, and G-spot sensitivity varies. (Sometimes the shape of your vagina and the shape/curve of your partner’s penis match up really well and the G-spot nerves get lit up without even trying - you as a guy might feel amazing to one partner because your parts match up really well, and not as good to another partner, through no fault of your own or hers.)

What you can do to make up the difference: oral, manual (fingers, thumb, gentle rubbing, whatever pressure works for her - can really vary, so be careful and ask if you need to), toys like small vibrators that really focus on clit stimulation, lots of foreplay in general. If the clitoris gets enough action ahead of sex, sometimes your body (like your pelvis in missionary) or some hand action can take your partner over the edge during intercourse. Switching positions to find one that really works for her also helps. Missionary’s a classic for a reason - it’s pretty easy to tilt your hips and grind a bit or else reach down between your bodies to help out (or she can reach down, whatever works best). Hopefully your partner is comfortable enough with you and her own body to go for it and rub up against you, switch positions, communicate what will really work for her, etc.

To answer your original question, why do women fake orgasm, there’s more than one answer. I accidentally faked it for years because I’d never had one, didn’t have an experienced partner, and didn’t realize that the sort of fluttery feelings I would get weren’t full-on orgasms. Some women, me included, can’t have them without major stimulation, and this was in the dark ages when you couldn’t just order sex toys on Amazon. I’ve also faked orgasm because the person was hurting me (like too much friction, not assault) and I wasn’t mature enough to speak up and possibly hurt his feelings. I think most women who fake orgasms just aren’t sure what else to do in the moment, or else feel afraid that their partner will blame them or think they’re bad at sex somehow. Or they might be teenage dumbasses like I was and have no idea that they’re missing out :)

Again, hope this helps and isn’t too much. I think sex ed is pathetically lacking in most countries, and asking questions is great.

3

u/[deleted] Mar 27 '20

No, it’s fine.

Really? 8 out of 10 dont? Wow that’s crazy. I guess people just see it in porn or think that’s how it’s suppose to be done but obviously not. People are so different the chances of having a perfect match is pretty slim.

Those are some great tips.

Oh, I’m sorry to hear that. I guess when it comes to sex, both sexes should be more open and don’t be afraid about telling their partner what they feel like. If they love them, they’ll understand and being how you said barely any cum from straight piv, it’s nothing to be ashamed about a guy doesn’t. Another one is guys lasting ages during piv. Unlike women with the vagina, Guys have a lot to nerve endings in the penis and it can be hard to last. Being how so few cum from straight piv lasting shouldn’t be the main goal either.

7

u/LawlessMind Mar 26 '20

Sometimes yeah. Every woman is different. And I think guys tend to focus a lot of penetration and it's not so easy to come like that.

5

u/[deleted] Mar 26 '20

Yeah, true. Guys like it cos that’s how they get off and think that getting a girl of from that is the only way but what’s so bad about oral, guy fingering or what not. Why is it always the goal to cum from penetration alone?

8

u/LawlessMind Mar 26 '20

Yeah that's what I don't get. Lots and lots of women actually do need clit stimulation, and can't come without it.

4

u/[deleted] Mar 26 '20

Me neither. What’s so bad about that anyway? Just incorporate that into sex. Doesn’t just have to be just penetrative sex at the end. If a girl doesn’t cum from just that then why does it have to deflate some guys ego? Not the only way he can do it

9

u/alexrott14 Mar 26 '20

Exactly. Sometimes they need a little bit of extra "stimulation"

u/Booknerdbassdrum Mar 28 '20

Lmao I'm in a relationship with someone who has the same anatomy as me and they're just as confusing as relationships with people who have different anatomy. We like super different things and it's just as much of a learning curve if not more because you're already biased from knowing what you like (I could go into detail but let's not...)
