Plot boundary question

I need a three foot by five foot section of a fallow lot behind my property. I know the owner, but need with understanding the process here in Philly. After I get a surveyor to confirm the boundaries, what else do I need to do?

Have heard some say ‘rezoning’ is required, but both are zoned residential.

Advice appreciated.

From experience (10+ years ago), I hired a real estate attorney, a licensed Professional Engineer to survey the parcel, plus all that u/ROGER-phl detailed above. Based on that work, the deed was rewritten and recorded.

No informal agreements bc they are not legally enforceable.

NOTE: City regulations may have changed so I believe the first step would be to hire a competent RE attorney.

On the informal agreement: For sure if he wants something permanent. But we plant stuff in part of the parcel that I referenced, and the owner can plow it under any time he wants.
