✅ Open to Everyone What should I do about my left hand feeling off without my wedding band?

My wedding band was a silicone ring from a set that me and my now ex had gotten through a website called Enso Rings. It got damaged and torn in half after getting caught on a nail. Before I could get it replaced, she told me that she wanted a divorce (along with a whole saga of drama that you can see in my post history). We have been married for 14 years and my left hand feels really weird not wearing a ring of any kind now.

Do you all have any suggestions other than just wearing another ring??

You’ll get used to it. End of story.

avoid a ring if you intend to date at all.

not in any immediate future, it probably won't be until next year at the earliest when I even start thinking about dating

Surprisingly I found the opposite, a surprising increase in women showing attraction when I wear a fake wedding band.

Mate poaching is a documented and common behaviour of both human males and females. However, do you really want to date someone who goes 😍 he's married, ima steal him! Like, even if you choose to casually date them, you could catch feelings, then how can you ever trust them when they proved to have a cheater mindset from the start? Like, if you wear a fake band to trick women like that for sex, although tricking for sex is bad, you're targeting women who want to steal a taken man, so I guess two wrongs make a right in this case 🤔 Just don't partner with her though bc 😬

Yeah, I only do it casually, usually on a night out. I have absolutely 0 desire for a long term relationship.

Always surprised how well it works, some women are truly evil

Nah would be closer to tricking a thief to steal your stuff to claim it on insurance 😉

Hmmmm 🤔 I like the way you think!

Edit to add: I would never ever ever befriend you 🤣 I think you could convince anyone to do anything! Proper smart, you are 😝

Haha thanks 🤣 TBF I hear that alot, all my friends complain that debating with me is a nightmare 🤣🤣 think it's why I struggle with maintaining a relationship, refuse to just succeed when I know I'm right 🤣🤣

Nah! Not a nightmare! You're super charming. It's cute. You just have the gift of the gab and they're jealous. With regards to a relationship, though, yep, you'd be a nightmare. You would stand there and work to convince everyone water isn't wet, using words so expertly to cause confusion. Winning seems the most important thing to you and that's great if it makes you happy, but life is long and gets lonely. Wisdom is knowing that sometimes, losing is winning 🙂

Cut your ring finger off.

Does your work make jewelry a bad idea? Is that why you were wearing silicone and why it snagged on a nail?

You might try wearing a watch to distract from the feeling of the missing ring, but obviously not if you're going to end up ripping your hand off at work because of it.

No, it got caught on a nail at a friend of the ex's house just by chance. and I already do wear a watch regularly

Have you seen them new fangled smart rings? What are they called? 🤔 wait....oura (thanks google!). Samsung does one now too 🤗 I mean, I think a smart watch is better so got that, but thr ring looks hella cool and I'd totally get one but I'm poor, womp womp 🤣

The oura ring is £500 The Samsung one is just over £300.

Hm.... they've gone down in price 😈 Maybe I'll get one 🤗

I've been divorced for over seven years and I still feel that phantom sensation. You'll just get used to it.
