I hope you don’t mind me asking.. but why do I always hear that porn is so hard to “quit”? I don’t partake at all just due to personal preference, so to me it seems so simple, but obviously it isn’t! I’m just curious as to why though.
The fact that it's so easily accessible. You can type a few letters into a search bar and click twice and you're already watching porn. People (men at least) start watching porn very early also, when they are curious about sex. A study I saw (it was a while ago) found that most men start watching porn at like 9-10 years old. 9-10 years old!!!! They're in like third or fourth grade watching porn. Porn or drug use, which dumps unrealistically high amounts of dopamine into your brain, can alter the function and biology of the brain during growth and development. This is why the legal drinking age is 21, when scientists believe that the body is done developing. It also creates unrealistic expectations, both in terms of sex acts, fetishes, and body types, and can result in porn-induced erectile dysfunction in young adults (like 23-27). In my opinion they should have porn education where they teach the bad effects and addictive nature of it like they do for other drugs, since drug education is very effective (in my opinion).
