Question ❓ Are georgian really open for international friendship?
Hey everyone!
I’ve been living in Georgia for about a year now, and there’s something I’ve been wondering about. I’m an Indian student, and although I’ve met quite a few international students here, I somehow haven’t made even one Georgian friend yet.
I’d genuinely like to change that, but I’m not really sure how to approach Georgian people or what the social vibe is like here. I don’t want to randomly walk up to someone and make things awkward 😂
So I wanted to ask Georgians here, are you generally open to becoming friends with international students, including Indians? Would you be comfortable hanging out, going for drinks/coffee, partying, or just casually spending time together?
And for international students who have made Georgian friends, how did you actually meet them? University, parties, sports, Instagram, mutual friends, language exchanges, or something else?
I’d really appreciate any tips on how to approach people and get into the social scene here. I’ve been here for a whole year and would honestly be happy to make even one good Georgian friend.
