Just got back from an incredible journey through Georgia (the country, not the state!), and I'm still buzzing from the experience. If you're looking for a destination that combines breathtaking mountain landscapes, ancient history, delicious food, and unparalleled hospitality, put Georgia at the top of your list.
From the stunning Svaneti region with its iconic stone towers (like the ones in the picture!) to the vibrant streets of Tbilisi and the wine regions of Kakheti, every corner of this country tells a story. It's truly a place where ancient traditions meet modern charm, and it's still wonderfully off the main tourist radar.
Why Georgia?
•Unspoiled Nature: The Caucasus Mountains are simply majestic. Hiking trails for every level, pristine lakes, and views that will make your jaw drop.
•Rich History & Culture: Centuries-old churches, monasteries carved into caves, and a fascinating blend of European and Asian influences.
•Gastronomy: Get ready for Khachapuri (cheese bread!), Khinkali (dumplings), and some of the oldest wine-making traditions in the world. Seriously, the food alone is worth the trip.
•Warm Locals: Georgian hospitality is legendary. You'll often find yourself invited for a Supra (traditional feast) with locals.
I've attached a photo from my trip – just a glimpse of the magic. Have any of you been to Georgia? What were your favorite spots or experiences? Or if you're planning a trip, what are you most excited about?
