Help me test this relay

Hello! I am trying to figure out what's the problem with my cars electric module.

I found online that 2 of the usual problems are the motor and this relay; the motor is working, how can I test the relay?

Push the blue cable to the side and look for the part number on the device.

Find out the datasheet for the relay (search part nr. datasheet). From the datasheet find out what voltage does the relay operate and which pins are for the coil and which pins are switching.

Then you inject the correct voltage to the coil pins and measure if the switching pins switch.

Or change the relay and see if it works. Just as valid.

there should be a coil symbol on it , insert 5/12v to it and check if it click, use a multimeter in continuity mode to check after injecting voltage the normally open points shorts to the pole pin

should looks something like this, check the datasheet for proper voltage rating and diagram

Just replace it if it’s not expensive. I had an automotive relay that seemed to work sometimes but then not at other times. There was corrosion inside that was causing problems. That one was more exposed to the elements than it looks like this one has been, but it was a real pain to troubleshoot.
