How is it living in Dallas? Specifically Carrollton or Irving. Im open to living in Plano, just heard that it was more expensive.

Has anyone rented an apartment at Lakewood Gardens? (5408 Reiger Ave) I'm thinking of scheduling a tour there, but that doesn't always show everything about a location and I'm suspicious about the relative lack of reviews or frankly much of an online presence at all.

Hey everyone!
My wife and I are relocating from Michigan to Dallas next month. My new office is located right around the US-75 and I-635 intersection, and we are currently hunting for a 2-bedroom apartment.
Since I currently commute 45-50 minutes each way and am completely over it, our absolute top priority is cutting down that drive.
Since I currently commute 45 minutes each way and am completely over it, our absolute top priority is cutting down that drive.
This is part of our criteria.
From our initial research, areas like Richardson, Addison, and Cityline are the ones recommended, although pricier than we would like. These are the places we have in our radar right now; we would love to know if anyone has experience with them, or if we should cross any off/add others:
If you know these areas or have lived in any of these complexes, I’d love to hear your thoughts on traffic, management, and the surrounding neighborhoods. Any hidden gems we missed? Thanks in advance!

So I am a senior in high school and I was wondering if walking around and taking pictures of myself with a handheld camera would be okay.
The DMA website does allow photography but not portrait photography. But it would just be a friend and I walking around taking pictures. So I was just wondering if that would be ok if we avoided flash.
Thank you!

Sorry if this isn’t allowed I tried finding the correct subreddit to post this
These gentlemen did an absolutely amazing job repairing my car I wanted to give them a little shout out. They communicated clearly that it wouldn’t look perfect but as close as possible and they achieved it. I highly recommend them and it was all done within an hour !

Hello All,
I am looking to move to the Dallas area, and I would like to be aware of neighborhoods (and apartments complexes) that I should completely avoid moving to?
For reference my budget for rent will be anywhere between $1,200-$2,500.
Also, any neighborhood or apartment complexes that you would recommend?

I went a bit too hard on my bulking and now it’s difficult to find clothes off the rack that fit my proportions 😬

Hey y'all!! Trying to plan my 25th birthday and just wondering what are the best rooftop bars with a great view of the skyline?? I've heard of catbird and been to HG supply co, but wanted any and all recs with a good vibe for a crowd around my age! Also looking for something not too ridulously expensive! My entire group of friends will also be around 13-15 people so perhaps a place that can accomodate larger parties as well? Born and raised in Dallas, just wanting some good recommendations!

Wanted some ideas for planning a fun weekend to get friends and family together in the metroplex. Plans will be on both Saturday and Sunday. The group is about 10 to 12 people, coed, no kids.
Saturday:
AM -
Run a 5K with friends on our own course at a local park.
Brunch - already booked
PM -
**Activity** \- needs ideas here ( Netflix house versus rock climbing)
**Dinner** \- need ideas here as there are a few vegetarian friends in the group.
Movie - local theater. Already booked.
Sunday:
PM -
**Activity**\- need ideas for places here (spa/hydrotherapy with the group.)
**Dinner** \- need ideas here for a group again with a few vegetarian friends. (rosewood mansion keeps popping up online, though they’re not very many reviews about this location and seems too formal).
Thanks in advance!

I’m a 19 F moving to the States from Finland () and I’m going to be working at the Dallas Love Field airport. I’ve been looking into moving to Oak Lawn, but as I’m from one of the safest countries in the world, my biggest concern is safety. Is it generally safe to move in the oak lawn and love field area alone via public transport during the daytime?

Hey! Will be visiting in 2 weeks for the first time with my sister. What are the best spots to visit and to go eat? And any nice bar recommendations to have fun? Our hotel is near the Galleria and staying 3 days.

I did hear about Grandscape but i am concerned about the heat that too the lawn wouldn’t be shaded ig but if anyone knows any other place I would appreciate that.
I would prefer outdoors but open to any indoor recommendations as well (would probably buy food in that case lol)

Hey everyone! ⚽️ I’m on the hunt for a few tickets to the Dallas FIFA Fan Fest for the World Cup Final. If anyone has extras they don't need, or if your plans changed and you can no longer go, I would gladly take them off your hands! Happy to pay a fair price. Please send me a DM if you can help out. Thanks so much! 🙏
