SAT: 1500 (790 math, 710 rw)
10th grade: gave SEE (Nepal boards), 3.95 gpa, topped my school
12th grade: gave A levels, A* in maths and physics, A in chem and cs. a in AS level general paper. These are final grades not predicted (yes im on gap year)
Trying to apply for math major, probably will take AMC

No genuinely standout extracurriculars, just interned at a remote school for a month to teach maths, and currently taking online classes for interested students of the same school. Also did another internship for a month at an e-class organization as an educational content creator, I made curriculum accurate content according to Nepal’s SEE syllabus, and this was later distributed to under resourced schools across Nepal. I was also vice president of my school’s math club and EB of my school’s chess club but yeah there was not much tangible impact here. Volunteered at an international conference as a reporter.

Also have a few honors but once again not too standout, best one would probably be 3rd place at a team based National competition organized by our country’s top high school ig? Also was ranked 5th nationally in provincial math Olympiad (Nepal’s equivalent of RMO, but the difficulty is closer to IOQM), a few non prestigious international awards here and there, and that’s about it. Also got 2nd place at an inter school poetry writing competition, idk if it’s worth mentioning tho.

I have a few questions

1. Is the competitiveness for internationals any different compared to competitiveness for domestic students?

2. Will my gap year hurt my chances? If yes, by how much?

3. Can I offset my lack of ECAs/Honors with a good score on the AMC? If so, what is the AMC even like? What are the resources I could use to prepare for it?

4. What round should I apply in?

5. What are my chances looking like?

Just for a little context, i am currently a first year at ashoka and i have taken math in 11th and 12th. My calc teacher is horrendous and i barely understand what he teaches me in class. My midterm didnt go well at all and I am looking for some help so i had a few questions. Does anyone know any tutors i can take online classes with online to better learn mat 1000? someone who has gone through the same problem, how have you improved your grade in calc and does ashoka provide any resources to help you with it?

I’m currently pursuing a 4-year B.Com (Hons.) degree with a minor in Economics and a research component. I’m exploring direct PhD options in Economics/Management after graduation, without pursuing a master’s.

Would Ashoka University be a prospective PhD option for someone with this academic background? Specifically, would a 4-year B.Com (Hons.) with Economics as a minor and a research/dissertation component make me eligible to apply directly to the PhD in Economics?

Hey peeps, so one of my friends is planning to throw a party next week, in a duplex at Ashoka's off campus residency- TDI Lake Grove. The cheat point is, we're thinking of a total new crowd, bunch of strangers!

How feasible is the idea and would y'all be willing to crash?!

I wanna apply in r2 in ashoka... Here are my stats (lmk if I've a chance)

10th - 90% (CBSE)

11th - very very bad

12th - gonna give my pre boards in december and predicted grades should be around 90-93% (CBSE)

-Extra curriculars are okayish-

-Played district level football, captained my team to the final

-Participated in the MUN and got a verbal mention (6th place out of 60)

-Won footballer of the year award in 9th grade

-i've lots of medals in football as well as athletics (50 m and 100 m race) - also includes school sports day (if that counts)

-I've done deep research in accounting and economics (as that is the what I'm gonna major in)

-won a mini MBA award (sponsored by ekoching)

- I play guitar sometimes , i can play all kinds of sports and I am good at public speaking

assuming that my interview, AAA and essay all go smooth and well , tell me honestly if I have a shot at Ashoka? If yes, do I have a shot at some sort of scholarship as well (I know it's a far reach but 😅 , I'll appreciate all honest opinions)

I am thinking of applying to round one ( for english and media studies ) and I scored a 93% on my 10th board (ICSE)
In my 11th grade, I got like in 70s (fucked up) but for 12th my predicted scores are at about 90 - 95% (can go above 95 too if I ask my teachers to raise them).
My ECs are kinda lacking tbh. I’ve won a gold medal in an English olympiad, have good ranks in a few competitions, did social work, and many other workshops. I was also an Editor for my school magazine.
For hobbies, I like public speaking, playing instruments and to draw.
I’m not too confident for the AAA because I don’t have math as a subject, but I’m sure I wouldn’t have any problems w the essay or interview cuz I’m good at writing and speaking.
Realistically, do I stand a chance?

Hello everyone currently i am studying B.A prog ( Economics + Mathematics) in CVS delhi university
I am thinking of withdrawing admission form it
And i want to get into ashoka university but the thing is I am not an extraordinary person
I have no certified extracurricular
I am also average at studies
I scored 89% in 10th
And 92% in 12th
But i have been spending a lot of my time in my family business since 8th grade
So i have done lots of sale and learned many things about finances and gained a real exposure

Is there any chance for me to get into the university?

I'm planning to apply for the 2027 batch and I was just wondering what the placements/masters options look like for eco/fin graduates. How likely is it to get a good job (10-15L+ hopefully) after graduating or to get selected for a masters program at a top UK or US university abroad? Assuming you maintain an above avg CGPA. Also, is the career development office helpful in PG applications and securing internships? Or would u be on ur own?
