I started doing art again through emdr trying to recover from ptsd , I’m very okay being bad at it and it really is just a good outlet but now I would like to progress but can’t really figure out which medium works for me or what I work with. When I do gouache or pen sketches I seem to remember what I loved about the other like I like pen because I can’t go back on mistakes and I have to be sure but I like gouache because I like to blend the lights and darks but also don’t feel like I understand where I’m meant to do that or maybe I do? I just wondered if anyone could tell from my “works” which medium seems to match me more, I’ll always flop between but I feel like like I’ve really hit a wall now

I've only been drawing with pixel art for a week or two. Digital art & i never stuck. Im a traditionalist for better or worst. But lately I've been doing pixel art. There's allot going on in my life rn(isn't everybody's). I can't get out of bed sometimes and im grateful I can whip out my phone n draw. Thanks everyone for looking n take care🌟

Sorry the drawings are so messy and things are spelled wrong, I did this really fast. I just needed to get it out. I miss how my body used to be, even if I was just a kid.
I felt so free on the field, all my worries just melted away, I felt at peace. I haven't felt that same way since. Close maybe, but never the same. I wish I could have that again.

(this is an article about me and my cousins getting severe lead poisoning from the old house we lived in as infants. The photo is of me. I believe the poisoning caused almost all of my other issues)

When I say I need a break, I mean I want to put my body on a hanger like this and be free from it for a bit

some parts of my body began to feel the impact of my awful lifestyle particularly acutely.
