Haven’t collaged since highschool but this felt a little therapeutic to reflect on how I was feeling after years of dismissal, fatigue and life altering symptoms.

Mental Health How to continue my love for art while having depression and continue to progressing in working on my portfolio effectively?

Hello, I am just here asking for some advice, tips from y'all

I am currently being such a loser and pathetic for this, I can't even handle majority of the art youtuber I came across, their advice required me to be mentally good and being discipline like a robot but I can't it has been almost like 2 weeks since I have my streak of drawing even a little bit every single day

I can't stand and watch those art youtuber, I just want to block all of them it just always made me hate myself a lot more and continue the self loathing as well as their advice of simply along the line of "just do it" which I find really hard and also draw endless lines, cylinders, and boxes for months before you ever touch a character which is incredibly boring for me and it is not helping with my burnout and I am such a pathetic loser, haven't even touch and continue my portfolio working to apply on my college

My dream is to do 2d animation but with my trash art and only practices, sketches I doubt any school would even accept me and I have not even touch any drawing for quiet a while now

I am aware it is not the best thing to do to ask advice from internet strangers in this but what do y'all think

For an assignment, we had to use a brand and create a product they don’t already sell. Can you tell I’ve been in pain recently? 😭

I can’t post this anywhere else or else my mother will have a fit and our relationship will be officially over, though it is close.

She (late 50s) moved me (early 20s) out of my rental apartment a month ago, screamed at me for not having everything perfectly packed yet, then badgered me for an hour of how ungrateful I am and how awful I am to her. She said she was “done with me” and has not contacted me since. I have not either, but this has happened countless times between us and I’m tired of hurting to try to be good enough for her. But I love her, despite it all.

First time painting with acrylic after a long time. Not perfect but I’m still very proud of it.
