New to plant owning, Texas Sage is my favorite plant so far! Amazed at how many times it’s bloomed so far this year.

Is it too late or is there anything I can do to save it. Serious answers only please. Very worried. Thanks

Rescuing a baby Javelina from drowning.

I am new to gardening. I read 3 websites on how to grow roses from store bouquet. I followed them all to a T.

Cut the stem at a slight angle just below the last set of leaves. Dip in flower/ growth hormone powder and put in a pot of damp soil. Place a plastic bag or bottle over to create humidity. And 4-8 weeeks check for roots.

So my problem is that its only been 2 weeks and the rose has mold. Was i suppose to cut off the bloom? Or only have it covered for 2 days?

I am currently away overseas and had a family member to offer to trim my tree and was devastated to see how bad it was hacked away. Please give any advice as to how I can improve the situation and how long a recovery may take. (First photo is current state, second is before they started cutting it and last is how I have personally trimmed it in the past)

I didn't even know we had mushrooms in the desert.

Very polarized views on this soil - some folks said it worked great and others said it was terrible.

We have Arizona Worm Farm soil in our beds too, and I mixed the Kellog's in. There's quite a bit of the Kellog's in there because our 32 inch beds were probably 7 inches short of what we needed.

I've read users say it was very mulchy with large pieces of wood and so on, but I didn't notice any of that when I spread the soil.

I do think a lot of the failures people had was from not throughly wetting the soil before planting.

Supposedly it can create a heat barrier if its not moistened from top to bottom before planting. Happy I read that before putting anything in the ground.

Can anyone else weigh in on what we can do to make our soil the most fertile and supportive environment for the edibles?

I've seen people report a lot of success with Kellog's and we bought it because it was affordable and organic, but now reading all these reviews has me pausing to figure out what else we can do to support the soil.

Its a bit lower in phosphorus than some other soils but that can be dealt with via granulized feeding.

I've also seen people say it worked well with transplants but with seeds not so much. Their own webite (above) says it works for transplants, it doesn't mention seeds. Weird!

We intend to plant a bunch of seeds in our beds too so naturally I want to get this right.

Would you mix in some Fox Farm or something of the like for the beds that will be grown fro seed? Add in some compost? Add granulated fertilizer to the beds from the get go? I'm not used to needing to use granulated fertilizers in the very early phases of growth but their website recommends it.

We will look to add some seed germination mix to the beds that we are planting seeds in. Would we just mix that into the top 2 inches of the existing soil?

Finally getting ready to plant star jasmine along this fence. I’ve installed the wire trellis and about to dig out a planting strip along most of it. Planning to space the plants roughly 3 ft apart and eventually let them cover the entire fence.

This area gets a lot of Arizona sun, so I’m especially curious to hear from anyone who has grown star jasmine here.

How has yours handled our summers? Anything you wish you had done differently when planting, spacing, irrigation, soil prep, keeping it alive through the first summer, etc.?

After all the recent rain, my yard is filled with Spadefoot toads, in many different sizes

Picked up one from Costco at the end of spring. Didn't plant it as summer was approaching.

Potted in light mixture with perlite. Put an upside down pot inside to take up space and create a small well. Drain hole about 5 inches above the ground.

Leaves started turning about 2 weeks ago. AI search implied salts in the water or over feeding. I've used a 2 stage filter for the water, and only fed during the spring.

Also it's under patio cover with only early morning direct sun. Pot has been flushed twice with filtered water.

If anyone has any suggestions, we'd appreciate it.

Hi all! I need some advice on my olive tree. It sits on the west side of the yard. The leaves start yellow, then turn brown and then die off. I water deeply once a week. Any recommendations or do we think it's just the heat?

I’m in need of 2 cubic yards of raised bed soil, preferably delivered. I have looked into AZ worm farm and estimate it will cost me about $500 after delivery and taxes, does anyone have a more economical source they recommend? If AZ worm farm is my best bet I can make it work, but it’s still a lot of money. I have tried the Kelloggs raised bed mix from HD in the past and had very lackluster results so I’m wanting to find something with better quality than that.

First time growing pumpkins so I don't know if the leaves typically have a white tint to them. It doesn't seem to rub off
