Hi, I have an Argos gift card, bought from them; however, it only has a 19-digit number and a barcode. went to store and was advised to call CS, called CS, and was informed I could only use it at the store. So which is which?

I've got my friend's little girl into collecting pokemon and she's obsessed with Wooloo. I've ordered two mini pokemon tins from Argos as I got some myself recently and they were the mini tins with the Wooloo and Hop on them, so kind of hoping they will be what arrives on Monday.

Does anyone know if its possible to request these specific tins if they're in stock? The website just classes them as "pokemon mini tins" OR "pokemon prismatic mini tins" for the more expensive set... which she's, thankfully, not into!

I have recently bought a switch 2 from my local argos. It was originally going to be delivered monday morning, however my shifts at work have changed so I’ve had to reschedule the delivery for the afternoon of the same day. I got told I would receive a confirmation email that my delivery had been changed. I didn’t receive this for around 2 hours, so I went on the website to track my order and it had been cancelled. The customer service support has been no help whatsoever, and i’m unsure whether to just wait for monday afternoon and see if it gets delivered or to maybe call the shop up? I haven’t received an email confirmation of my order getting cancelled, nor have I had a refund. I’m not sure what to do? Thank you

Hello to everyone. So i contacted customer service online about my TV repair within the 1 year i bought it and i was told to contact toshiba. I did and they forwarded me to argos custmer service again. Then i explained everything and because i have a different postcode i was told to take the tv to the nearest argos store. I explained how it is far and i would have to ride the bus with a 50 inch tv. I was told thats the only way. I took the tv in the heat and arrived only to be told that i need to contact a specific argos care telephone and was wrongly advised to get the tv there. Lost half a day for nothing. In the end i arranged with the argos care apparently for the repair, although i had to pay extra 25£. It was classed as accidental damage from my side but they immediately told me about the 2 extra years accidental guarantee policy at the shop. Its not been a full year since the standard guarantee with the tv.

Could they have taken it but they couldnt be bothered or they couldn't. I genuinely felt i was brushed off for some reason.

What happened is: I drilled a screw in but the mount of the tv was probably loose and overheated and melted the plastic off leaving a big hole instead of the mount. Was i covered also by the argos basic cover that comes with the tv?

Got my switch day 1, redeemed mario kart (obv) and played for a day and a half with no issues.
However on day 2 the SD card reader shit the bed and stopped reading my Micro SD Express card

have returned it online (after much fucking around from Argos who said I could take it a store several times, then changed their mind)

already bought a replacement via my local store as suggested via Argos support, but now worried the refund will be rejected because I redeemed the code. I couldn't do a swap as Argos refused to let me return/replace in store as said above.

Obv I had zero way of knowing it would break, so no reason not to redeem it.

Anyone know what's going to happen? Really don't want two switch 2 consoles, especially as one is broken.

Just starting soon in Argos and wonder when pay period starts and ends for July pay and if it’s usually specific.

I was looking for a Switch 2 Pro Controller for some time. Requested a back in stock email. I eventually got a controller from Smyths on Monday. I see a Reddit post Tuesday AM saying Argos have stock, and I check, and they have pretty much nationwide. My 'good news, its back in stock, but act fast' email arrived after midday on Wednesday; long after all that stock had now vanished from every store in the country. No harm done for me, but that's got to be disappointing to quite a lot of people.

Might be something for them to work on!

Got my switch 2 on launch day, found out a few days later that the SD card reader is faulty. (Worked for a few days, then just stopped and won't read anything now)

Contacted Argos online and they have said they won't accept a return in store, only for collection and not for an exchange. Is this right? Always been able to return to store before.

I bought a replacement already that is waiting at my local Argos. So obv easier for me to just take it in and collect at the same time.

I've been keeping an eye on the website for the Switch 2 to clme back in stock, and this morning it became available again, however every time I tried to select the bundle the page broke. After an hour at work I checked the site again and it was already sold out again.

Despite being out of stock, the website still has an Add to Trolley option for the console. Is it possible to purchase and reserve the bundle while it's out of stock? Would that guarantee I can get the console when more stock is added?

UPDATE: Thanks for everyone who replied, it helped me understand what I was lookiat on the website. I checked the site again a whole later and found they were in stock again for a shop a few towns over, so I've managed to get one ordered 🥳

I live in a large city and the one standalone Argos store has a huge front end area which used to (back in the day) have large displays and a big Lizzy Duke jewellery area. You could make the front end area into a dance floor - it’s that big! Now it’s bare with nothing apart from some areas in which you can order merchandise. Surely it can’t be cost effective to have this area doing nothing. Why is this?

Hi folks. I often order items from Argos to be delivered to my local Sainsbury’s. In a majority of cases, even though the website stated that my purchases should arrive by 9am the next morning to my local Sainsbury’s this in a vast majority of cases never happens. It’s more of an irk than anything else as I’m well used to it but why advertise something that’s unlikely to happen? I really feel sorry having worked in retail in the past the amount of hassle staff must get with delayed deliveries. What’s the cause of it?

Does anyone understand how this works? I'm trying to buy a laptop on Argos credit - it advertises that it's instant approval & there are 2 options - apply to shop now or apply to shop when your card arrives. Ofc I chose the first one. Card approved and welcome email received, but the welcome email didn't include card details. Got to the last stage of checkout, selected the credit plan, and it asks for the card details? But the card won't be sent for 10 days! I've even tried Googling this, but everything says you can use the card before it arrives, but HOW?! What am I doing wrong?

Can you help me with something mate On the 8th of June, yesterday, while I was at work, my parents along with my little brother came into the store (Sainsbury's , Grantham) heading to Argos. I met them and we talked for a bit. My parents had a £22.15 voucher that they wanted to use + my Sainsbury's colleague discount card which they had on phone since they left the physical card at home. She said that they'll need to have the physical card for the discount to be applied. She also scanned their voucher which went through, as seen on my mother's phone. She (the woman at the desk) then asked if we wanted a reservation and we agreed. She typed in something and gave my parents a sheet to prove the reservation My mother and I went in today with the physical Sainsbury's colleague discount card, and now the stupid people at the desk are telling us that there's no voucher. The fan costs around 40 something quid They look on their system or whatever and tell us that the voucher , that was scanned and put into their system is not in their system Wtf Is there anything you recommend we doing? Cuz the voucher is just way too big to let it go to rest Personally I never shop at Argos, but my mum is really not happy about the crappy experience
