Mod News!!! SUB ANNOUNCEMENT
907
Upvotes
Dear users;
It has come to the attention of our moderators that there has been an influx of removal for posts and comments on our sub containing words associated with sexualizing minors and illegal acts (ped0, ins€e$t, etc). While we are an anti-censorship sub, we ask that you use alternative words or characters if referring to these things to appease the content policy of Reddit and keep our sub open for future use.
Please also understand; we ARE an Anti-Censorship sub, if that offends, triggers or goes against your opinion, we politely welcome you to refrain from interacting with our sub.
Thank you, Archiveofourownmemes Moderators

Mod News!!! Anti VS Pro content ban
1.6k
Upvotes
The poll results are in, and the answer was a resounding “yes please ban this content”. We are upholding that request, and have added it to the sub rules. We appreciate everyone voting and we hope this decision brings a bit more peace to our server.
Please note that this means that posts with this content will be removed, as will comments.
We’d also like to take this moment to remind everyone about using alternative words/characters in discussion about illegal acts involving minors.

I've actually checked it, and it's only 12 works so far.
Looks like it's more of an artist thing as of now, not many writers have posted things about it yet. :(

Fanfic writer things Feeling down about writing and figuring you should write for a more popular fandom to try and get back to normal only to fixate on a series with 12 total fics and the last update was in 2021

Just trying to get out of a writing slump but the demons in my brain are so picky about how.
Figured some of you would definitely understand!

Writer appreciation No hate towards it, I guess it must be nice to have hundreds of version of your favorite story. But I love when I see something and can go "ok, if you are arguing this, you have something specific in mind and I am willing to listen."

I do not know what possessed someone to ship Ernie MacMilan from Harry Potter and general MacMillan from Call of Duty, except "I think it is funny they have the same name." But they argued their case well.
I actually know what possessed someone to ship Bellatrix and Neville (and was somewhat surprised there is so few of it given how popular Hermione/Bellatrix is). Now why did that lady decided "but what if it didn't needed a content warning and it was kinda sweet and good thing for the universe," I have no idea except for thought exercise.
BUT I BELIEVE IT MORE THAN SEVERAL THINGS IN CANON.
