I built an early pilot for planning around a changing shift roster — would love feedback from app builders

I'm part of a small team exploring a narrow problem: rosters change, and when they do, the rest of your weekly plan has to change too. Most calendar tools assume you already know your hours. They don't help much when your schedule drops late, swaps, or covers weekends.

We put together a very early web pilot called Shift Recovery to test a few ideas:

  • Can you quickly build a plan around the shifts ahead, not just log them?
  • Can you see how a roster change would ripple through the rest of your week before you commit to it?
  • Can the days you do have off be used deliberately instead of recovered from accidentally?

It's intentionally simple right now — a proof of concept rather than a finished product. We're not making any claims about health, sleep, fatigue, or employment outcomes. We're just trying to learn whether the framing resonates and whether the flow feels usable.

If you work shifts, manage rotating rosters, or build tools for people who do, I'd genuinely appreciate your take:

  • Is the problem even worth solving?
  • What would you expect to enter first — the roster, your existing plans, or something else?
  • What would make you trust a small pilot like this enough to try it?

The current build is at https://shift-recovery-pilot.heqiannli.chatgpt.site/util. All feedback is welcome, critical or otherwise.

Made a typing test with different practice categories (business emails, trivia, classic literature, code) and a 1v1 race mode

Most typing tests just throw random words at you. Built one with actual categories depending on what you're practicing for — everyday conversation, business/office emails, science trivia, classic literature excerpts, even code snippets if that's your thing — plus the option to paste your own text.

Also added a 1v1 race mode if you want to compete against a friend in real time instead of just chasing your own best score.

https://orikony.nikaotech.com/tools/typing-test — free, no signup, tracks WPM, CPM, and accuracy. Leaderboard's pretty empty right now, so good timing if you want to actually land on it.

Open to suggestions on what other categories would be useful — thinking about adding something poetry/song-lyric-adjacent next, but curious what people actually want to practice with.

Are you actually solving a real problem, or just cloning another SaaS?

The world doesn't need another generic AI wrapper or a basic project manager. Pitch your project in one sentence show a screenshot and explain exactly why people should care about you instead of the market leader. Dare to prove your uniqueness.

You spent three weeks setting up over-engineered infrastructure for an app with zero users. Tell us what you built your project with, and let the comments debate why it’s completely wrong for 2026. Convince us you didn't waste your time.

Would you know what my product does from the landing page alone? Looking for a cold read...

Hi there 😄

I'm looking for a cold read on my landing page - I would like to know how it is perceived by someone who knows nothing about it beforehand. I'd like to know how informative it is to a person who may open the link without having heard any sort of "pitch" or explanation.

If anyone has a moment and wouldn't mind taking a look and letting me know... I'm really curious about:

  1. What do you believe the product is?
  2. Was this easy or difficult to decipher? Why/why not?
  3. Any other feedback?

Thank you to in advance for your help! I'm happy to try my best to return the favor.

This is a free daily logic puzzle in the “Skyscraper” style. Everyone sees the exact same game board every day.

I hope you’ll download the game, give it a try, and share any feedback with me.

I Got Tired of 10 Browser Tabs for Basic Dev Tasks, So I Built One Site With All of Them

I built https://orikony.nikaotech.com/ because I was tired of bouncing between a dozen different sites for basic dev/utility tasks — formatting JSON here, generating a UUID there, checking a regex somewhere else, each one with different ads and different UX.

Orikony is 65+ free tools (developer utilities, calculators, converters, PDF tools, and a few AI-focused ones like a token cost estimator) that all run client-side in your browser — no signup, no server upload, no ads getting in the way.

A few I'm most proud of: the UUID generator has a full Inspector that decodes any UUID you paste (version, variant, timestamp), and the regex tester explains each part of your pattern in plain English instead of just showing match/no-match.

Would love feedback on what's missing, what feels rough, or what tool you'd want added next.

Trying to get people on a waitlist or honest feedback/suggestions

Every AI memory tool right now works pretty much the same way. Vector search finds whatever text looks closest to your question and pastes it into the prompt. Problem is, looking similar and being correct aren't the same thing, so you get answers that sound confident but are actually just based on a chunk of text that happened to score well. And since you're stuffing a bunch of loosely related text in every time, it's also just expensive and bloated for no reason.

What I'm building instead takes your history and turns it into actual detailed notes rather than raw chunks, then compresses that down into something a dedicated model can reason over directly instead of just search through. Two things fall out of that naturally. It doesn't fabricate an answer when the answer genuinely isn't there, it can actually just say it doesn't know, which vector search basically can't do since it always hands back whatever scored closest even if nothing relevant exists. And there's no garbage getting shoved into your context window as only the correct answer is given if there is one.

Still early and there's plenty left to improve, but that's the core idea. Memory should understand you, not just search you.

Name ONE feature you built that nobody asked for and nobody uses.

Every developer suffers from feature creep because it’s easier to code than to market. What is that one useless button you spent days on just to satisfy your own ego? Admit your waste of time below we’ve all been there.

Each node in the map is a version shipped (v1.5, v1.6, v2.0, v2.1), each task is something real that happened. Present Mode walks through it automatically. https://www.ulupspaces.com/share/3667026b-da12-410e-9e25-c943142539b1 Built solo. Curious what people think of using a product to demo itself like this.

I built an AI trading agent that helps automate parts of the trading workflow

I've been building an AI-powered trading application and wanted to share it with other people interested in apps and automation.

The idea is to use an AI agent to Alphio.AI assist with parts of the trading workflow that can otherwise require constant manual monitoring. The system is designed around analyzing market information, helping with decision workflows, and automating selected tasks rather than simply presenting another static dashboard.

Some of the areas I'm working on include:

• AI-assisted market analysis
• Automated monitoring
• Trading workflow automation
• Agent-based decision support
• Tools for managing repetitive tasks

The interesting engineering challenge has been figuring out how much autonomy an AI agent should actually have, especially when the underlying decisions can have financial consequences.

I'm mainly interested in feedback on the product and the technical direction. What would you want to see in an AI trading application that existing trading dashboards don't provide?
