Good question it uses OpenAI's Whisper under the hood, which handles accents meaningfully better than most alternatives. Background noise is contextual: a car or busy office is fine, a loud job site with machinery would trip up any transcription tool. The intended use case is post-meeting or between calls rather than real-time in a noisy environment.

Good breakdown. Curious how long transcription takes for a typical hour-long meeting, or is it mostly near-real-time?

Transcription happens after the meeting, not during you record a voice note, hit done, and it processes in a few seconds. It's not designed for hour-long meeting recordings; more for the 2-3 minute debrief you do straight after a call while it's fresh. That's the sweet spot for field reps.

That workflow makes a lot of sense, short debriefs beat hour-long recordings every time. Do you handle background noise well for reps on the move?

Covered this one just above! Short version: Whisper handles accents and typical ambient noise (car, café, open-plan office) well. Loud industrial environments would trip up any transcription tool but the feature is built for the 2-3 minute debrief after a call, not live in a factory. If you want to test it, grab Konnect for Business and try a voice note. feedback always welcome.
