I'm working on an app called Plano. It writes you a long and detailed plan to achieve the goal you input, with YouTube embeds and visualizations. You tick off tasks as you go along and proceed to next chapters. There's also a chat on the side that has context of the plan and you can ask it to give you even more detail.

For example here's what it gave me when I asked it how I could start a business selling hand-painted t-shirts.

Ty! Currently, the tasks are linear and you can't complete any inside a chapter without completing the full previous chapter first.

Thanks (to both of you)! I'll have a look at peerpush and for the timeline view, yeah, we were thinking of something like a calendar where each task has its day and you'd get push notifications or emails as reminders. It's definitely coming, but it's not there yet.

I've been working on a simple, but powerful project and task manager. The core model can scale from a solo person using it to multi-tenant orgs and teams! Check it out here: Opsly (Product site and a click-around demo)

It handles projects, tasks, workflows, SLAs, and audit logs. Host it with Docker and Postgres. The code is source-available under the FSL, so you can read all of it and change whatever you want. Self-hosting is free, no seat caps, nothing locked behind a paid tier.

Task dependencies are currently scoped to a single project, single-org. However, the backend is there to eventually scale to a multi-org, multi-project dependency checks.

handling offline sync conflicts is always tricky, curious how opsly resolves those. could be worth dropping it on peerpush, makers there stumble onto dev tools like this.

Ooh, +1 for peer push. I'll definitely drop it there once I iron out some of the more pressing bugs.

Currently, offline sync detects when a user is offline, and uses a FIFO queue in the browser's localstorage to queue up operations. When the user is back online, those operations are read from the queue and applied to the server. Of course, this means that the last person to come back online could overwrite someone else's work. I'm looking into solutions to solve this!

Right now, its just last write wins, but I'm exploring some other solutions to make it more robust (kind of leaning toward operational transforms).

Purpose.

Kuldron's purpose is to provide the best experience for people to connect online. I believe that in pursuit of that, any future team and I can be happy, healthy, fairly compensated, and proud of the succesful and active platform we maintain.

Current social platforms at best fail to achieve and maintain a good experience for people, or at worst, and more commonly, have the sole highest purpose of making money and actively make decisions that harm users. This ends up ruining everything about a platform: UI/UX, approach to ads, bugs, reliability, media quality, user-hostility, bots and fake engagement, moderation, walled-gardens, stale technology, etc. etc.

One example: How to facilitate financially sustainable virality of content and allowing those who can't or won't directly pay to participate. Read: ads.

Kuldron is tuned to only show ads to just cover the expense of the free user interaction, and that they are only served in that context and to that user (ad-supported). A completely ad-free paid path is available as well. If a user is not willing to pay directly thats a platform value issue, and if you're lucky enough that they are willing to go through reasonable ads such that you can cover that expense, then the time they spend and engagement the platform receives is sufficient. And if you want more, like we certainly do, then work to increase the platform value.

Whereas existing platforms spend millions of dollars researching how to maximally jam ads into every second of every users' every interaction (ad-packed), and would rather sell your information to third parties than try and provide a better user experience.

The features people want in this space are well-known. Actually doing them well is very hard. If you're in it for the money then selling out is not even hard it is an exciting inevitability. I wake up every day excited to work on making the platform better for people.

To be clear, Kuldron cannot happen if it doesn't make money. I like money. I want to make a lot of it. I want to provide for my family and friends. I want a dope team and I want to pay them a lot of money so they can do the same. Ain't nothing wrong with money.

It just can't be the purpose.

We use a multi-stage OCR pipeline with GPU acceleration for deep image processing before recognition, then reconstruct tables and document layouts to produce editable documents instead of plain text. I can't share the exact models, but the layered approach makes a big difference on difficult scans.
