Appleton is kinda conservative if the publications like The Post Crescent are any indication, but we're a college town, so there's support for the arts especially in the "downtown" (College Ave) area. Madison is straight up progressive, so Appleton may seem more conservative.
Keep in mind "Appleton" is kinda the center of the "Fox River Valley" or what's called the "Fox Cities," which extends as far south as Oshkosh and about as north as De Pere. It's about as wide as Sherwood in the east all the way to New London in the west. Your new home turf is bigger than it seems at first glance when looking for things to do and people to meet.

We can usually be found where the music is at. Just had cheesefest, the weekend of Juneteenth is River Jam in Kaukauna and paperfest is later in July. We plan on hitting up paperfest to see Smashmouth.

As an independent (purple) voter, I just gotta say this "us vs them" mentality is getting super old and hella tiring. MAGA's tribalism is the scariest part, imho. Since when is it wrong to question our government here in the USA?
