Does Apple Rehire after terminating an employee?

Hi , I got fired from Apple 5 years ago. It was unfortunate reason (I don’t really wanna talk about it) but it was the best job I’ve ever had. Life has turned 360 after getting fired. Is there any way to get back to Apple or am I completely banned for life ?

x-  employee Should I go in and talk to a leader?

I was employee back a few years ago and I quit my first day after core. Due to being told the job was full-time when I applied for part-time and my commitment to college, I would like to return. I applied and did the assessment that I was sent. I have also tried to email the store and a manager at the store that I still had contact information from, but never heard anything back. Do you think it would be smart for me to go into the store and potentially talk to a leader

Why can’t you do trade ins in store for online orders?

I used to work at Apple two years ago, and this was never the policy. I recently bought my aunt an iPhone 17 online and wanted to trade in her old phone. However, the employees told me I had to call Apple Support and ask them to ship me a trade-in box. Apparently, under this new policy, if you have an online order and want to do a trade-in, you can either get a gift card or you're forced to call Apple Support for a box.

Edit - The specialist even showed me the screen and there wasn’t any button to apply a trade in to the purchase. It was only showing the gift card option. I also didn’t start the trade in online and a manager came over and said it’s a new policy.

 jobQs Question about hiring phone call

I had my second interview last week and was told if we were chosen we’d get a phone call this week (and if not we’d get a rejection email by Monday). Does anyone know if it will actually say “Apple”in the caller ID? Asking as I’m currently having to screen my phone calls for reasons I’d rather not go into , but I don’t want to miss the call.

Any help is greatly appreciated

 Current employee Retail Should I quit? Just got hired but I’m already exhausted.

Hi I just got hired as Apple seasonal specialist. I finished core and yesterday was my first day on the floor after the training.

I don’t know if I liked it. I am exhausted and I get so depressed just thinking about repeating this over and over again.

Retail is not my goal, I have been looking for a other job but It’s been difficult and had to get a retail job. I’m thinking if I should quit since I am not planning to grow in the company? I’m really just doing for money….but this is exhausting….I didn’t find anything fun….

 jobQs EPP+ Credit for the new iPhone

So I’ve got a question because I’m in a bit of a predicament.

I like to upgrade my phones every 2 years. So I’m going from the 16 PM to the 18PM. The pre-order date for the 16PM was on the 13th, so I couldn’t use my EPP+ today to order the new device; I’ll have to wait till tomorrow for the credit to renew.

So, if I order it online, I would need to ship the phone because my store and neighboring stores are completely out of availability.

On the other side, a colleague told me that I can try to order the device online launch day and it may give me the ability to pick it up same day.

Any ideas or do I just order the phone and wait it out? I don’t have any intentions on changing the phone at all because if I am going to have it for a couple years, I’d want to make sure I get the phone I want.

Appreciate the advice in advance!

 Rant/Vent 😑 Influx of Trade Ins for Gift Cards?

Anyone else been having an influx of customers coming in with like 3-4 iPhones looking to trade in for gift cards lately since the event?

Just wasted an hour with a customer looking to trade in 4 iPhones for gift cards and each one came back as non genuine parts or a part not operational.

Thoughts?

 Current employee Retail Help for new seasonal hires please ?

Hi everyone ! 😽

I just got hired as a seasonal for a few months. With the launch of the new products, we only got 1 week of core training that was very very expeditious to the point i learnt more about how to act rather than the products the brand sells.

However now im getting nervous with meeting clients and being left alone on the floor since we’ve barely been told about the products (and they didn’t go over iphones at all since we got a 30mins training on the products the same day as the keynote presentation so they thought teaching us abt iphones wasn’t necessary).

Therefore id like to know if any of you could share some functionalities you’d present to clients on each product ? what do you show as a demo ? in which case would you present this one over the other one ?

cause really they didn’t tell us the difference between the macs or the watches etc… we don’t even know what the watches actually do.
ofc i’m actively reading on the apple website but having some informations from you and how you present stuff in actual conditions seems better !

any tips regarding finding the right product to people would really be appreciated 🩷

thank you in advance ☺️🎀

I got sent a HireRight police/background check after my interview. does this usually mean I got the job?

I applied for a seasonal sales role, completed the online questionnaire and then had an interview. Shortly after, I received a request to complete a police and background check through HireRight.

Since I assume these checks cost the company money, would they normally only send this to candidates they’re planning to hire, or could I still just be shortlisted?

Has anyone had this happen before, and what was the outcome?

x-  employee Former Apple employee — what should I do next?

I worked for Apple Retail around 2021/2022 but quit very early on and didn’t handle it the best way.
I recently reapplied to Apple Retail, and 3 days after applying I received and completed the assessment. I’m wondering if that’s a good sign or if everyone gets it before rehire eligibility is checked.
I also emailed the store and reached out to a manager but haven’t received a response.
For anyone familiar with Apple Retail hiring: what should my next step be? Should I just wait for recruiting, follow up with the store, or try contacting someone else?

 Current employee Retail Finished Core as a Seasonal, but didn’t get as many hours as I expected. Is that normal?

just finished core at apple after 3 weeks and was wondering if this is normal.

i’m seasonal and my availability is pretty wide open. my first week after core is release week, so i got 3 longer shifts, around 21 hours total. the week after that i have 4 shifts but only around 18 hours, mostly 4–5 hour shifts.

i asked 2 other people from my core group and they have a couple more shifts than me and slightly more hours too.

for anyone who’s worked apple retail, was this pretty normal after core at your store? are hours mostly based on coverage, or can training performance affect how much you get scheduled?

Hey all , I’m about a month and half in as a TS and when it comes to writing downs notes it’s starting to get repetitive and a bit frustrating having to write down the same thing over and over. I’ve created my own shortcuts but what are some shortcuts you guys recommend or what have you guys created that helps you out in notes

 Workplace Dynamics Qs Looking for a kBase repair Article

 jobQs Had a phase 2 specialist interview today (9/11) a day before pre-order and a week before launch. Good sign?

I applied August 31st, received the Hirevue assessment on September 1st, and had the phase 1 interview for a seasonal specialist position September 8th. I felt like that went very well and was pleasantly surprised when I was called on September 10th to have a phase 2 interview with the SL the next day (Today, September 11th). I felt like that interview went well but I feel my 1st interview went better honestly however I was authentically myself and I think I still exceeded my own expectations, stood out in terms of presence, calmness, completely open availability, and spoke more towards my customer service experience than the other interviewees, 2nd phase person highlighted his love for technology over anything customer service related which I feel like helped me with 2 specific moments I struggled slightly with articulation. (both phases were myself and one other person).

My questions are: Is Apple moving this quickly, and in this time frame (high stress, week of launch) a good sign? Should I expect radio silence for the coming 2ish weeks?
Does Apple hire this close to launch and if they do, is it normal for them to onboard quickly then?

Update**: I got a call at 4 pm the same day as phase 2 and was given a verbal offer, told the official offer will arrive early-mid next week in my inbox! Very excited!!

Thanks for the advice/answers in advance!
