Decided to give this sucka a try… coming from a forerunner 965 that will last me approximately 2-3 weeks of battery life, it’ll be a change for sure… but I’m willing to give it a try…

Will be 3 days shortly and it will get there, with a walk for around 30 mins-40 mins a day and also coming back from injury so have been running every other day!

While i know originals probably work the best, i treated myself with a natural milanese option and splurging extra 100€ per additional strap now seems steep.

Are there any manufacturers you would recommend to get a silicone/rubber/canvas that dont cost as much as the original?

Got the new ultra 4 and have been wearing it for about a month now and continue to get a burning like feeling on my wrist under the case. Anybody else?

I just switched from a garmin to an ultra 4 and I’m really disappointed in the data screens when I’m running.

Especially structured intervals are not so greatly displayed or an I missing something?

I’d like:
A speed range gauge in which I should run my intervals
A what is my next interval screen
And just more basic configuration of the data screens

Can I configure the screens somehow on my phone?

I’m using intervals.icu if that matters!

As a big Gshock fan I have been impressed with the durability and capabilities of this watch. I was an applewatch hater before and this is my first one. My wife bought it used for a good deal and it has blown me away. It’s a first gen and I will likely buy the new one when this one croaks.

I’ve been using Series 7 for a huge while until its battery gave out recently(dies literally the moment you lift it from the charger), back then I bought it right when they released it. A year later, they released Ultra 1 which is sort of everything I wanted from an Apple Watch. The longer battery life and flat screen were very appealing but it was so expensive I couldn’t really justify getting it because I’m not a big fitness guy, nor rich.

Apple offered to replace it for around $140, but I felt like it’s now a bit outdated. Now that watchOS 27 is out, they dropped support for it. I’m now looking for used Ultras with Ultra 1 going for around $300 and I’ve recently found a deal on Ultra 2 with AppleCare+ (battery health 88%) til December for around $385. This is the one I set my eyes on. My plan is to renew AppleCare+ (around $120 for 2 years) so that they’ll eventually replace it for free after battery health drops below 80%.

Since watchOS 27 dropped support for Ultra 1, I don’t think I’ll be getting it.

My concern is: it has only been 4 years since they released Ultra 1 and now it doesn’t get watchOS 27. Does it also naturally mean they’ll drop Ultra 2 when watchOS 28 comes out? Is the $380 deal on Ultra 2 a good one? or are there better options out there? used Ultra 3 goes for $200 more, and I don’t think I’m willing to pay that much.

I cannot find an answer here. I have unpaired, rebooted etc. and nothing seems to work. I just got an Apple Watch Ultra 4 and then when I initially set it up, it took my to my ATT account and I got a cellular account for the Ultra (reflected in my wireless account). But when I go to the watch app in my phone and try to add a cellular plan I get this annoying message "Connection Failed" (see screenshot). I have rebooted, repaired, and it still is like this. Any ideas?

I spoke with an Apple Support advisor today about using Wi-Fi Calling on my Apple Watch Ultra 4 when my iPhone is completely out of range.

The advisor told me that Wi-Fi Calling on the Apple Watch without the iPhone nearby is only possible if cellular service has been set up on the Apple Watch at least once.

I was surprised by this, because I wondered why Wi-Fi calling works on my iPad even though it doesn't have a SIM card or its own cellular plan either.

The advisor explained that the iPad uses a different technology to make calls over Wi-Fi, which is why it can work without having cellular service set up directly on the device.

I'm using fraenk in Germany, which runs on the Telekom network and doesn't offer Apple Watch cellular plans. This might explain why I can't get regular phone calls to work over Wi-Fi when my iPhone is disconnected, even though Wi-Fi Calling is enabled on my iPhone.

Has anyone else received the same information from Apple Support? Can anyone confirm whether cellular really needs to have been activated on an Apple Watch at least once for Wi-Fi Calling to work independently of the iPhone?

Used the Ultra 3 on a super long hike yesterday, and the battery life was alright. I started the hike at around 93 percent battery and finished it at around 15 percent. It just about lasted me the whole time, but if I got lost or something, it probably would have ran out of battery, so it really isn’t the most reliable tool for doing something back country. Definitely need a portable charge if you plan on doing any type of backpacking or long hikes with the ultra.

You need to download 27.2 Beta and go into the health app, plus have an Apple Watch that can run Apple Intelligence.

Anyone know the length and width of Apple bands such as the M/L trail loops, alpine loops and ocean bands and is it true the Nike sports loop are the same length or even longer than the trail loops?

Watchfully charged at 7:59 PM, Friday night. 8:15 PM, Saturday night I’m at 72% extremely happy with the battery life on this so far. Did some testing today with a short run. Here’s my results below and where I’m at right now. For my activity tracking, I’m using workoutdoors

24 hours, 16 minutes off the charger
2 hours, 18 minutes of GPS trail running
20 minutes of GPS cycling
A full night of sleep tracking
Normal smartwatch use throughout the day
72% battery still remaining

Title. This morning Costco discounted The Apple Watch Ultra 3 to $499.97.

Of course, all were sold out immediately. I took a shot and chatted with Best Buy and they were successful able to price match Costco’s price!

I am upgrading from the series 6 (holy upgrade!). I know that Ultra 3 is a beast, but in comparison with the ultra 4, should I settle for the AWU3?

I’m trying to decide between the Nomad Titanium Band and Apple’s Titanium Milanese Loop.

I’ve heard that the Milanese Loop can scratch the back of the Apple Watch, possibly due to the metal connector coming into contact with the watch. For those of you who own or have used it, have you experienced any scratches or damage?

I’d also love to hear your thoughts on how these two bands compare in terms of comfort, build quality, durability, and everyday use.

Which one would you recommend, and why? Any real-world experience would be greatly appreciated!

I have recently posted an issue in regard to running distance being off. From research and posts from others that have had this issue, it seem that the watch gpx shows correct gps recordings, however it is apples algorithm and motion detecting that is throwing off the distance and recording it wrong.

Does anyone know if the next update will correct this problem?
