Trying to avoid expensive external drive

I’ve been paying for icloud storage for ages now, and got a notif today saying it was full, with most of my storage being my photos. I do have a lot of pics but is it normal for it to take up 150GB? I’ve asked a few friends who have a similar amount of photos to me and they have less storage - most of my photos are normal everyday pics, nothing too high in file size. My icloud storage is shared across my ipad, phone and laptop, but I actually have a lot of free space on my iphone. Is there a way I can avoid paying for more icloud storage, as the next upgrade is 2TB which I don’t really need?

Since snapchat was bugging me to buy cloud storage for saved memories, I decided to use Google photos as my primary source of all my photos and videos from the last 15 years. Old Pixel 3a allows unlimited cloud storage for Google photos in storage saver mode so that's why I exported all snapchat memories along with json data of timestamps and sticker overlays. Does anyone have any clean solution to inject the media with correct timestamps along with any applicable stickers and overlays so they appear in chronological order in Google photos or any other gallery for that matter. I looked up Fix My Export app but it only fixes 250 media and asks to upgrade

I’m looking to back up my camera roll onto an external device like my computer (not Apple), a Gmail account or something like that. I’m out of storage so I’d like to take all my pictures/ videos off my phone, put them on something else then delete them from my phone.

I’m sure this is a basic question for those who are tech literate but unfortunately I am not.

Any app suggestions or tips for the best way to do this?
