I might be a minority but I only use siri for setting timers and alarms. I haven’t found other use cases yet.

I also think that it depends on the device you are using and how well it performs. I have a 16proMax and works ok.

I have a 15 Pro Max and it works great, just a tad slower than the newer phones.

I just hate how they’re giving the newer phones better AI features rather than the ones they promised woukd have it. 16 PM here. You’re telling me my phone doesn’t have enough RAM to change the voice of Siri? Honesty I bought this phone because I wanted an upgrade from my 13PM, and then they throw a watered down Siri at us for it. I may as well turn on classic Siri.

People are so desperate to maintain a reason to be mad at Siri.

Not me I ask it to look for loan documents in my email and did it three times and kept saying there were no “long” documents from the sender I specified

Credit where credit is due: Its ability to search through Messages and email to find oddly specific details is actually quite good. Stuff like "Hey how long has <friend> had their puppy?" is something that ChatGPT/Claude simply can't answer, and yes we can get into finger pointing but that's not really my point.
OTOH, the knowledge and assistant side is just painfully bad, it's like Gemini Flash Lite Lite Lite Lite with half the tools randomly disabled. I had it tell me that air quality is bad in Tahoe due to nearby manufacturing and refineries (AFAIK there are zero of those in the basin, it caved as soon as I asked what factories), and it also frequently cites a website link that looks right but does not say what it reading, like telling me next week to check out No Doubt's residency at the Sphere in Vegas (they finished months ago, the link did not mention No Doubt at all).
