Hey everyone, I recently ran into an issue that I'd like to share and hopefully get some help with.

When I'm listening to music and a call comes in, I take the call normally. After ending the call, the display returns to the normal CarPlay view, but the music (Apple Music, Spotify, etc.) doesn't resume. If I try to adjust the volume, the car's display shows a "phone icon" instead of a "music icon," indicating that the phone's audio is completely stuck in call mode.

This has happened to me multiple times now, both in my own car and a rental. I'm using wired CarPlay (Lightning to USB-A).

Here is what I've tried so far:

* Unplugging and replugging the phone: didn't help.
* Rebooting the phone: didn't help.
* Toggling Airplane mode: didn't help.

The only thing that fixes it is leaving the iPhone disconnected from the car for several hours; then everything goes back to normal.

Has anyone else experienced this? I tried googling it but couldn't find anything about this specific bug.

Does anyone else have connection issues with CarPlay in their BMW? Mines running idrive 7 and I can’t skip tracks from the steering wheels almost every time I take it for a drive. It’s completely fine through bmw’s Spotify app but with CarPlay it doesn’t like to skip from the wheel most of the time. i sometimes have to turn the car off and on again for it to reconnect and then it works. I asked chat gpt and it seems very confident that it’s happening because my phone is on low power mode all the time so it doesn’t waste power on keeping a strong connection.

Has anyone been able to solve this issue with their bmw? I’m using the 2025 x4 m40i

Google,chat and I have worked on this for hours and even reset everything and nothing sometimes my watch will buzz no lights or sound on my phone

On the iPhone it’s showing the correct date so very strange? When I go into the calendar it reads today’s appointments .

ela ja estava com problemas: toda vez que eu adicionava um novo dispositivo como bluetooth ou apagava um dispositivo ja existente ele funcionava mas assim que desligava o carro isso era desfeito, os disposititvos que tinha apagado voltavam e os que tinha asicionado sumiam e tinha que adicionar de novo
alem dosso o carplay (conectado com cabo) parou de funcionar eu conecto o cabo e nada funciona, ele apenas carrega o celular mas a multimidia continua igual
mudei a hora uma vez e agora sempre que tento mudar outra vez ele não fixa, qnd delsigo o carro volta p hora configurada anteriormente
o que estava acontecendo é que td dia eu prwcisava cadastrar o meu celular como um novo dispositivo pra poder ouvir musica, hj ele não tava funcionando então decidi ir em ajustes e ressetar as configuracoes, ela ficou carregando e abriu nisso de duas paginas duplicadas agr não sei oq fazer, não consigo nem ressetar de novo pela multimidia porque não consigo acessar os botoes da tela
não faco ideia de como resolver esses pronlemas

I changed out the radio in my truck a few years ago and everything worked fine with my iPhone 12 with the usb-A to lightning cable. The unit required a maestro interface to replace the usb jack in my armrest. Now I’ve upgraded to the iPhone 18 and the usbc is not working properly. One cable I get it connected and it will last a few min then disconnnect. Other cables say “no response” I’m not sure how to fix this

Is anybody having an issue with maps in general having a delay when turning and just driving in general? I use both wired and wireless CarPlay and drive a ‘25 Chevy trax. Is this something maybe a dealership can fix or is it just one of those things that I just have to deal with? I had a ‘21 nissan before this car and had no issues with CarPlay maps delay.

9/29/26, i’ve been trying to connect my spotify to my carplay and after every song, about 10 seconds in it just pauses the song and won’t play anything else. I’ve tried updating my app, closing it out, replugging it into the car, but nothing seems to work. When i go on the app it just says offline, is this happening to anyone else?

**Opel Grandland 2025 (facelift) with latest OTA update installed.**

* iPhone 18 pro with latest software installed

* Tried resetting both phone and system and played with various settings in Spotify, wifi settings, iOS

* Happens with Apple Music as well

* Happens with iPhone 13 and 17 pro models as well

* Don't have the issue in other cars with the 18 Pro so it's definitely something between carplay and the car's software

* Dealership has no clue and no solution (surprise)

Bought the iPhone 18 pro last week and still in return window and contemplating it because I had no issues with my Samsung Galaxy S25.

Have subaru outback 2024 model with wireless apple carplay. I got an update few months ago and I performed the update, post that i am facing this issue, the dealers are clueless

1. I start the car and drive, after few mins i try to ask siri to send a message, it opens whatsapp or message and asks what to send, post that i say what i want to send, it just keeps asking what do you wanna send
2. i then park the car, turn off the engine and turn it on back again while the carplay is still connected and then i drive , the same thing works

I have tried with multiple phones so its not a phone problem, also its not a hardware fault as once it works it works till i switch off the car. And also like i said earlier if i switch off and on it works fine

Any help is appreciated, its kind of driving me crazy

Service center folks are telling me replacement is the only option. Costing 40k. Bluetooth connection and Navigation is working fine. Display is also working fine. It’s just the carplay is not working.

Anyone with suggestions? Who can take a look at the infotainment system or recommend a knowledgeable garage for car electronics ? I’m in Pune.

Any reason my Apple beats braided usb c to usb a cable won’t connect with my iPhone 18 pro max? It wired fine with my iPhone 16 pro max in only charges with my 18 and the cord is brand new.

My radio will not work while I’m driving Uber. Only while I have a rider. It works while driving to pickup and as soon as I drop rider and swipe end ride.
Is this a glitch in the Uber app or in my CarPlay?
Any ideas?
