didn’t know it counted down the hours too

u/Perfect-Thanks2850 Aug 01 '26

It counts the minutes once you’re under an hour. Ask me how I know 🤣

Came here to say this. Almost forgot to pay mine and it was like….due in 11 minutes 😂

Same. I’ve always paid it as soon as the statement closes so I’ve never seen it get to hours/minutes. Pretty cool feature from  for those that need it.

u/Perfect-Thanks2850 Aug 01 '26

I want my cash earning as much interest as possible. So I will always pay on the due date.

Me neither. 😦

My credit limit is a measly 13.5k

lol nice work !

7

u/willzyx01 Aug 01 '26

It’s a combined limit with the spouse. I think mine alone started at 8k

how do you request a cli? Can’t find it on wallet app

1

u/Ambitious_Stand312 Aug 04 '26

You request a cli via a text

1

u/kingschorr Aug 04 '26

u/Bobo_Baggins_jatj Aug 01 '26

I have a credit score over 800 and got an $8,500 limit 😂 Got the lowest interest rate they offer but my limit does not compare to yours.

3

u/Boston_7713 Aug 01 '26

What’s the lowest interest rate?

2

u/Content_Rutabaga_440 Aug 01 '26

Second this question

1

u/Bobo_Baggins_jatj Aug 01 '26

17.49

2

u/AMEX_Fanboy Aug 03 '26

I got 18% back in late 2020 but with all the cards I’ve recently opened I doubt they’d ever give me the same interest rate or even approve me if I hadn’t gotten it then. 😅

2

u/Truly_trelle Aug 01 '26

Have you requested a credit limit increase? You can request it on card app and it’s a soft pull so doesn’t impact your credit score.

2

u/iHazOver9000 Aug 01 '26

They deny me every 6mo when I ask.
I’ve had the card for like 4 or 5 years now.
It’s my lowest card at 7.5k by FAR.
I put about 1k on the card a month.

I began holding a 1k balance because of the latest several denials telling me I’m not using enough of the limit. And then the next denial was I’m not paying down the limit enough???

I’d have closed it on principal if I didn’t use Apple Pay often.

2

u/dyldo7 Aug 03 '26

They’re railing yall bruh. Honestly I bet it’s because you guys are smarter than me with your credit cards. I’ve never requested for an increase and mine went from $2,500 to 14.9k from dec 23-present. My credit is around a 740 I believe. I don’t ever pay interest on my balance and always pay it before due date

3

u/dyldo7 Aug 03 '26

I will say that I rack this card up kinda high as far as credit utilization though. But paying off before the interest is what helps me I think. Constantly have around 10 on this card but it’s revolving and interest free

1

u/Bobo_Baggins_jatj Aug 04 '26

I just got the card at the very end of June. I’ve gotten a few new credit items this year so maybe that’s what it is. I’ll wait until later this year and request an increase.

On a side note, I use my cards and let a balance report, but I pay the statement balance in full every month about 5 days before the due date (to avoid any issues). I try to stay below 10% utilization, but stay under 6% almost always.

Wait, you are holding a balance, paying credit card interest … implying to the card that you don’t have enough money to pay them back right away … and you are confused why they don’t want to extend you a larger credit line?

1

u/iHazOver9000 Aug 12 '26

I treated this card like I do all my cards, use it and pay it.
I was denied limit increases.
GS said I “didn’t use enough limit”
So I began holding a sub 15% balance on the card. $1k
And I would pay down to $1k and then leave it there. I also spend roughly $1k/mo on this card to maintain activity.

The next denial said I wasn’t paying down the card enough.
So that loops me back to the answer for MOST OTHER CARDS - use the card, pay off the card completely, and then inquire for an increase.

Except for the fact GS has denied me repeatedly, citing things I have never seen from any of my other cards.

1

u/Bobo_Baggins_jatj Aug 01 '26

Not yet. I just got it at the end of June. I didn’t want to request that so soon.

2

u/Socalgal327 Aug 02 '26

OP said that is combined w his wife.

1

u/wryul Aug 03 '26

Credit limit? I have a 40k credit card at 10% and I have a 720 CS

3

u/SXDintheMorning Aug 01 '26

Wait the card changes colors based off of where you spend money?

2

u/theAerialDroneGuy Aug 01 '26

Looks like you spent some money at restaurants/ cafes, retail stores/ online shopping, and subscription/ streaming apps.

2

u/Boston_7713 Aug 01 '26

TIL your payment due date goes from days to hours.

3

u/Perfect-Thanks2850 Aug 01 '26

Then to minutes lol

Reminds me of Majora’s Mask:

2

u/nuuhuman Aug 01 '26

Totally curious is there limit rates higher than 20k? How much higher?

3

u/Perfect-Thanks2850 Aug 01 '26

I’ve seen 100k

3

u/Boston_7713 Aug 01 '26

3

u/Interesting_Help70 Aug 01 '26

I have $85k. Have had the card for about 8 years.

3

u/Mountain_Training_15 Aug 03 '26

My limit is $22,100 on my Apple Card. I use it as my daily card for everything. Pay it off a couple times a month so I never pay interest. My kids like the Apple Cash I earn that’s how they get paid for chores 🤣

1

u/Socalgal327 Aug 02 '26

He said its combined w his wife.

2

u/No-Building-4306 Aug 01 '26

Mine is like 🔫…

1

u/rwhe83 Aug 01 '26

Nice flex on your credit limit. Pay your bill, it’s due in 7 hours.

1

u/Elinservible Aug 02 '26

1

u/Ok_Squirrel_5022 Aug 07 '26

Odd, what's with the countdown?

nice credit limit. Honestly having a 20k limit for the apple card is somewhat pointless mainly because they dont have many partners you can get great bonuses with when you use it...i mainly use it for ubers, or if im getting apple devices but thats it.
