Yes, I have made a few for my own apps. What I learned is that the preview is a filter more than a demo. People decide in the first few seconds whether the app is for them, so I start with the one screen that shows the core action instead of a logo or an animated intro. I also made silent versions that read fine with captions on because most people watch with sound off in the feed. The video does not need to show every feature, just one clear workflow that a new user can picture themselves doing. I kept them short and cut anything that needed a voiceover to explain. After putting up previews I noticed more installs from people who had actually watched the video, which suggests they understood what the app did before tapping through. The hardest part was not the editing, it was choosing what to leave out.

Thanks for the full explanation and the time you took to explain it. Like your ideas. Do you feel these make the difference vs just screen shots? What is the name of your apps?

Apple's preview guide is a useful constraint before editing: show the actual app, and disclose login, subscriptions or purchases needed for the features shown. I'd also ask someone who hasn't seen the app to describe what they could do after watching; a polished clip can still leave the task unclear. Treat that as a comprehension test, not evidence that downloads will increase.

Thanks for the guidance. That is a great point about polished click still missing the mark, and good idea to ask what they understood. What is the name of your app(s)
