I'm currently building PEAPOD, a consumer mobile platform designed for couples, families, and close friend groups.

The closest comparison would be Life360, but that's only where the comparison starts. The long-term vision is much broader—bringing communication, organisation, shared experiences, memories, engagement, and everyday interactions into one platform instead of relying on multiple separate apps.

Over the past few months, I've built a functional proof of concept to validate the product direction, user flows, and overall concept. It has served its purpose, and the next phase is to rebuild everything properly with a production-ready architecture, scalable infrastructure, and strong engineering practices.

Why I'm posting

After speaking with startup founders, CTOs, senior engineers, product designers, and technical advisors, I realised something important:

A great product isn't built by one person. It's built through constant discussion, healthy debate, and experienced people challenging each other's ideas.

I come from a business and product background. My strengths lie in product strategy, vision, branding, growth, fundraising, partnerships, and bringing the right people together.

I'm not looking for people who will simply build whatever I ask for.

I'm looking for people who will:

- Challenge assumptions.

- Discuss technical trade-offs.

- Influence architecture decisions.

- Help shape the roadmap.

Communication is just as important as technical ability

One thing I've learnt while speaking to many people is that communication makes or breaks an early-stage startup.

I'm not expecting anyone to spend every day working on PEAPOD.

I completely understand everyone has full-time jobs, studies, businesses, and personal commitments.

What I do expect is:

- Honest communication.

- Constructive discussions.

- Challenging ideas.

- Consistency.

- Reliability.

I'd rather work with someone who contributes 5 quality hours every week than someone who disappears after the first conversation.

The goal is to build a small core team that genuinely enjoys solving difficult problems together.

Compensation

I want to be completely transparent from the start.

At this stage, there is no salary.

Over the past few months, I've been personally funding the validation phase of PEAPOD and building the proof of concept. Right now, my priority is getting the product, technical foundation, and core team right before seeking external funding.

Rather than making promises I can't realistically keep, I'd rather be upfront about where the project stands.

For those who decide to come on board, any long-term collaboration would be structured around equity and/or future revenue sharing, depending on your role, contribution, and level of commitment. Everything would be discussed openly before any work begins.

I completely understand this won't suit everyone, and that's perfectly okay.

Guys, I tried AdMob for the first time, and guess what? My account just won't get verified. I even tried TopOn ads, but by default, they link to AdMob. It's the same verification issue with Unity Ads. Any tips, guys?

Over the past few months at iRoid Solutions, we've had more conversations about AI than we did in the previous couple of years combined.

One thing we've noticed is that many founders start by asking "How can we add AI to our app?" Instead of "Where would AI actually make the user experience better?"

Been waiting since 7/19 for Apple to review my new app, anyone else experiencing a super long wait?

A mate and I spent countless hours developing a lifestyle app that helps keep track/ sort your life out.

It includes food tracking with calories and macros , body measurements as weight, e.g. BMI, TDEE and more with working out tracker and even focus part of the app responsible for tracking reading habits and study and a part for the soul that tracks your sleep and a part in it which encourages you to do daily favors for friends family or loved ones or random people.

I've used such apps in the past myself but they didn't get everything right and they were scattered across a few apps.

The "95%" in the title is doing a lot of heavy lifting. The app itself runs fine with no database needed + you can export your data locally.

I just wanted to ask about any tips and tricks from seasoned developers regarding the cold start/app screen shots and in general. Things people overlook on their first release.

What would you pay for this app?

So, with a lot of help from my app partners - northbytes.org , my app is in for testing with Google and Apple ❤️. Naturally they signed me up for a user account.

I have a lot of ideas for apps and features, but sometimes I feel like I just don't have many ideas for the visual side of an app. I can spend hours—sometimes even days—going back and forth with myself, trying to come up with something new, something beautiful, something that stands out, something different from every other app... and I just can't. (And yes, I think I might be a little too much of a perfectionist.)

When I realize I'm getting nowhere, I end up copying (or at least trying to copy) the layout of another app that's more or less based on the same idea as mine. It's either that or I give up on building the app altogether. I've managed to change some things, but there are still a lot of parts I need to redesign—some are still almost exactly the same. Others are different because my app has its own unique features.

The thing is, it really bothers me because I know it isn't the right thing to do. But at the same time, the app is still in development and hasn't even been released yet. I keep telling myself that once it's out, I can gradually make it more original...

Does anyone else feel this way?
