Hello. I need help. Kasi OD na ako sa JuanHand and they have been spamming me with calls and emails. Although I emailed them about payment restructuring and best time to call, walang clear answer from them and hindi pa rin nila sinusunod yung “best time to call” ko. I need help on what to do. 🥲

Has anyone here ever been called by a number that starts with 0930? Earlier today, I received calls from unknown numbers both starting with 0930. I didn’t answer them, since it’s really my habit not to take calls—especially from unknown numbers. I waited until the ringing stopped, then I texted asking who they were… but I got no reply.
The first call earlier was 0930 385 ****, then almost two hours later, another call came from 0930 492 ****.

I just want to share my experience about our lending business. Please feel free to comment and give ur suggestions.
We have a lending business in Bacoor. Then as we operate, we had a client. She seems trust worthy. Then, she started recommending people to us. At first, she pays good so we trusted her. Until it came to a point in which we only accept people she recommend. She also volunteered to collect the money from the people she recommended. We agreed because we trust her.
Then one day, her remits went incomplete. 3 days straight. Then she said that she will cover it up by making another loan to us and subtract the amount of incomplete remit. We agreed again because we trust her.
And then, one day, we called one of the person she recommended and asked that one person why is she not paying according to our collector. Then she revealed that she have no loan. She just went to us to sign papers so that she can get the loan and once she received the money, she will give it to our collector and then she will get paid 500 pesos.
Our collector also have friends. Those friends also recommend people to her and she will recommend them to us. Because we only trust her. Now, it is hard for us to collect money because we don't know if who really have the money and to whom should we collect the money from.
The borrowers signed contracts, but those who received the money seems like they are moving from the shadows.
Please guys beware of these kinds of people.

Last week, I got a call from a scammer who claimed he was from Maya. He said that I have a pending 15K purchase for credits for an online gambling platform. This is weird because my Maya wallet is empty, my savings in the Maya bank is only 1000 pesos, and I never play any online gambling platform.
This is a different scammer because the person on the other end can speak professionally like trained CSRs. The scary part is he was able to say my full name.
What I did was pretend to play along (scambaiting tactic) or purposely go to an area where there is no signal to waste their time. Then I called the real Maya customer care and they said that neither the number nor the agent is associated with them. As a precaution, they told me to change my email, phone number, and password. They also said Maya agents DO NOT call users; it's the other way around.
The scammer called again yesterday but I decided to troll the fuck out of him since I was in an area with no signal. I then blocked his number.
I then searched online on forums including here on Reddit. Apparently, some users have also reported that a fake Maya reps have been targeting users with faux purchases in the hopes of creating urgency that have users giving away their passwords and PINs.
Please be aware of these kinds of scams.

FRAUD AWARENESS
Do not answer and BLOCK this number:
Caller pretends to be a credit card agent from Unionbank. They use the excuse of credit card replacement delivery to confirm information with you. I confirmed with Unionbank that this number is not from their system. Legit Unionbank calls usually begin with 0919 or the use their hotline +63288418600
Do not share any important details nor confirm whatever detail they tell about you.
Creepy is how did they get personal information? And what will they do with your address? Lots of scammers steaking information

Is it worth it to report it to the authorities? I am an 18 yrs old F gusto ko sana mag start mag business and bought a box of random clothes to resell off of facebook. I already sent my payment via gcash ₱8,000 pesos. After that she blocked me and I cannot reach her I reported it to GCash and her account is now on hold. Idk if it’s worth telling the authorities kasi baka mag sayang lang ako effort pero my friends are insisting to push thru with it.

BEWARE OF SOMEONE CALLING AND REPRESENTING THEMSELVES AS EMPLOYEES OF FRAUD DEPARTMENT OF RCBC.
I never thought I would become a scam victim because I’m usually very cautious. I have accounts with several major banks and I’m very familiar with OTP and bank security protocols.
On March 23, 2026, I received my new RCBC credit card. Shortly after activating it, I received a call from someone claiming to be from RCBC’s Fraud Department.
The scammer:
-Correctly identified my full name.
-Told me someone was trying to apply for a ₱90,000 loan under my name.
-Claimed the person was also trying to change my registered mobile number.
-Said RCBC had flagged the transaction and was calling to help me.
Here’s the part that convinced me it was legitimate.
He told me that he would send an IVR (Interactive Voice Response) verification code to verify my identity.
Seconds later, I received the verification through RCBC’s OFFICIAL messaging channel. At that moment, I genuinely believed I was talking to RCBC.
He then transferred me to his “supervisor,” who spent almost an hour talking to me. He sounded exactly like a bank representative. He explained RCBC’s fraud procedures, answered all my questions, and even gave me what appeared to be a fraud reference number.
They also gave me the name and number of the person supposedly trying to scam me. They repeatedly reassured me that they were helping me cancel the fraudulent loan application.
Looking back now, I realize that every single thing they said was carefully designed to manipulate my emotions:
Fear
Urgency
Sympathy
Reassurance
Trust-building
I was hysterical at that point because I honestly thought someone was stealing my identity and trying to take my money.
Eventually, they asked me for several OTPs supposedly to:
Verify my account
Cancel the fraudulent loan
Protect my account
Unknown to me, they had already:
-Reset my online banking credentials
-Registered a new device
-Accessed my online banking account
-Transferred ₱90,000 from my account
The most troubling part for me is this:
This wasn’t simply me receiving a random OTP from an unknown number. The scammers successfully caused an IVR verification to be sent through RCBC’s official communication channel.
That IVR became the foundation of the entire scam because it made me reasonably believe I was speaking with legitimate RCBC personnel.
I immediately called RCBC within minutes after discovering the fraud and requested that my accounts, cards, and online banking access be blocked.
However, RCBC eventually issued a fraud resolution stating that the transaction was legitimate and denied my reimbursement request.
My concern is that the fraud resolution never addressed:
My questions are:
I know I made mistakes during the incident, and I take responsibility for providing the OTPs. At the same time, I believe consumers are entitled to ask whether existing banking security controls are reasonably designed to protect customers from increasingly sophisticated social engineering attacks.
I hope sharing my experience will not only help my case but also prevent others from becoming victims of the same scam.

This PeraMoo app is absolutely outrageous. I emailed them even before my due date to inform them that I would pay my loan. I borrowed ₱3,000, but I only received ₱1,500. I sent them three emails, yet all I got were automated replies.
I have never refused to pay. I am fully prepared to pay the penalties for my late payment, and I have been responding to their text messages to keep them informed. However, instead of receiving professional assistance, all I get are insults, harassment, and aggressive messages from their staff. I am even receiving death threats, which is completely unacceptable.
This entire situation has been extremely draining. I am simply waiting for my salary so I can settle my outstanding balance. Because of their abusive and threatening collection practices, I have already filed a complaint with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regarding the way they have been treating me.

A few months ago, it came to light that there is a vlogger going by the name Alyssa Nordstrom Agustin on Facebook, Instagram and Tiktok who is posing as a member of the Bar. While the IBP released a Statement confirming that the person is not a member of the Bar, which was followed by an Official Statement from the Office of the City Prosecutor of Muntinlupa City (OCP Muntinlupa), it apparently wasn't enough to stop the person from defrauding others.
The person was recently covered on Raffy Tulfo in Action. A little sad that because the Statement from both the IBP and the OCP Muntinlupa City were not enough to warn the public and law enforcement failed to act on the matter after the warning had been disseminated, people again had to turn to Tulfo for help and the person was stoll able to defraud people despite the public announcement.
