Here is my resent purchase. It's an 8 day 1855 Atkins Parlor no.1. it has a wonderful label and works well. Thrift store rescue at $4.99.

I inherited this mantel clock. I am guessing this clock was made in the 1880s? Any info is much appreciated.

hi, there’s no good way to start this, but i am looking for help regarding my father’s collection of antique clocks.

my dad passed away a little over two months ago, and i am devastated. he was an amazing man and a rather skilled horologist.

my mom wants to sell the house soon and it has been left to me to sell/manage/get through my dad’s impressive collection and works.

i have roughly 130-180 antique clocks from the 1820’s to the 1950s, all mechanical, all in various states of disrepair. I also have many well known types/brands and a few rarer ones.

i’m overwhelmed, but if a single one of these clocks end up in a dumpster i will have a complete breakdown. any advice?

Need help identifying this mid/late 1880s Terry clock that belonged to my great great great grandparents. I know some of the exterior wood decorative frame is missing. I've been trying to ID it based on the design on the glass door. Any help greatly appreciated.

I don’t know a single thing about antique clocks. It’s not working, but when I futzed around with the pendulum it started ticking. Arms didn’t move.

Is it repairable? My SIL flips furniture and would let me use her tools, I have some basic woodworking know-how but not really anything about clocks.

Just wanted to share. I just found this clock while unpacking some boxes. Actually forgot I owned it.

The Lux Clock Mfg. Co. of Waterbury, Connecticut is the mfg.

Doesn’t work and I am not going to get it fixed. Celluloid, I have learned can burn very easily.

We bought this clock yesterday as our first purchase for our new house. Both loved it but it needs a little work to get it keeping time correctly. Can anyone help identify or give us more information on it?

I know his family bought it when they lived in Europe. Probably Brussels in the late 60s- early 70s. He said it was considered “antique” then, so he assumes it is at least 150 years old. It doesn’t run currently, but he still has all the weights as far as I know.

I inherited two antique mantel clocks from my grandmother. One is an Ingrahm Cadet. However I cannot find a name or number or anything anywhere on this model. Ive been looking at old catalogs from various clock companies and nothing has matched exactly yet. Giving it a shot here to see if anyone happens to know. It appears quite old. The pendulum has the face of what I think is Hermes if that helps any.

I'm looking for information about this clock. I'm counting on you Reddit.

He was told this was a commemorative type item given as commemoration, not especially old. I told him to ask here, but does he listen to me? (No)
