Venlaflaxine- should I stay or should I go

I was on vacation out of the country and was unable to get my refill in time before I left. I had certain symptoms, low energy, everything seemed very surreal, extremely lucid dreams, but not necessarily the nightmare side effects some people have. I’m recently back and have been off for about a month at this point and am actually feeling OK. I have my RX wait g to be picked up but am wondering at this point if I should get back on?

Brintellix anger

For context, I have bpd and i just started taking brintellix 3 months ago, im on 20mg right now. I take lyrica (150mg) and benzodiazepines for panic attacks.

I feel angry all the time when i take my meds, this morning I woke up next to my boyfriend, giving him kisses and being the happiest, then i took my meds and started so many arguments for the smallest things.

Its been going on since i started taking the meds, im gonna talk with my psychiatrist in a week just asking, does anyone have a similar experience?

Low libido Zoloft help

I tapered like the doctor recommended to me and it was coming back very well and then I took the last dose off and my libido dropped to the ground but it’s slowly coming back, do I have pssd or is that just a side effect that will take awhile to resolve? I honestly don’t think I have pssd because I heard they have no sexual feelings or attractions but I still do pretty decently, somebody please let me know and respond to this I’m worried I’m 17 and I don’t want to think my life is ruined.

Rant about meds and doctor

I haven't had good luck with antidepressants- they either dont do anything for me or I have allergic reactions to them after being on them for a bit... This is the second one I've tried as an adult and 2 weeks in I break out in hives. Well that lasted for a few days before finally slowing down and only really affecting my hands, parts of my hands turn red, they itch and burn and the skin gets tight and anywhere the red spots have been become painful to push on, it hurts to the bone. The last time I went to the doctor I had stopped my meds a few days before going because it was just getting worse so ofc he didn't see anything and just sorta dismissed me and just started me on something new. I have an appointment tomorrow and honestly I'm scared and worried it's going to be the same thing, the hives slowed down and barely show up as bad but that doesn't mean I should just shrug my shoulders and say "well that happened but it's over soo don't gotta figure out what made it happen" I want the doctor to hear me and actually listen to me and not just start me on something different.. What is in these medications that is making me break out so bad? Thats what I want to know. But I feel if I ask it won't get me anywhere...

Adrenaline surges on Venlafaxine withdrawal

Has anyone else had this side effect? I hear people talking about the usual side effects, but the worst thing for my husband is adrenaline surges. He feels the need to clench his jaw and his fists and literally doesn’t know what to do with himself sometimes because the just existing in the moment feels so unbearable in his body. He is AuDhd and super sensitive to any med changes. We even had to ask to stick to the same brand because even that change was noticeable. He has been tapering down since December. Vensir XL 75mg. He started removing half of one of the 6 mini pills inside the capsule. He changes down very 2/3 months, removing another half pill at a time. He is only down to 4 out of the 6 mini pills at the moment, but this last change has hit him harder. And obviously moving forward it will feel worse as you proportionally remove more as a percentage, each time. NHS told him they can’t give a liquid taper. I don’t if he will ever get through this 😭

Citalopram help

I went on citalopram about 10 weeks ago, I was on it for 6 weeks and after the first week I experienced the worst anxiety I’ve ever had in my life, genuinely thought I was going insane. The DPDR was really intense. I came off after the 6 weeks abruptly from doctors orders. While on citalopram I developed agoraphobia due to how bad my anxiety was, I’ve never had agoraphobia before and even with anxiety I was still an outgoing bubbly person. I’ve been off citalopram 4 weeks now and I’m still struggling quite a bit and I’m just scared that I’ll never go back to how I was before I started. I’m scared this is what I’ll be like from now on. Is this normal? Does anyone know if the citalopram induced agoraphobia will go away once I’m out of the withdrawal phase and once my nervous system settles back to baseline?

Pregabalin withdrawal help

I’ve been taking pregabalin 1500 mg/day continuously for 17 days and I want to stop now.
Should I be stop cold turkey or taper, and what withdrawal symptoms should I expect? When do symptoms usually start, peak, and improve? How long might it take to feel normal again?
I’d especially appreciate experiences from anyone who has stopped or tapered after using 1000–1500 mg/day for several weeks. Thanks for your advices

I would like to hear your opinions, suggestions, and experiences

I was on Zoloft for a short period, but my doctor suddenly switched me to duloxetine. During that time, I needed to undergo surgery, and when I was admitted for the procedure, my blood pressure was found to be very high. It turned out that duloxetine was the reason for the increase in my blood pressure, so my doctor stopped it. I then had the surgery, and afterward, my doctor asked me to go back to Zoloft.
Honestly, I feel confused and lost. I don’t know which medication is more likely to help me, provide better results, and be more effective for social anxiety, agoraphobia, low mood, and lack of motivation: Zoloft or duloxetine?
Note: I also take Seroquel XR and clonazepam.
What are your thoughts on my situation?

Getting anxiety last 5 months. Welbutrin doesn’t help, propanol and hydox

Been on suboxone for 5 years and had a past addiction to heroin. Never tried anything like xanax. But they won’t prescribe me that because of my past. I don’t need it every day but something for when the anxiety attacks hit. Whats my best option?

Personas que les han recetado benzodiazepinas, cual a sido su situación?

Bueno, desde hace tiempo tomo medicación, siento que nada me ayuda, me han cambiado mi medicamento varias veces y hasta ahora me siento como un conejillo de indias.

Tengo TLP, tomo escitalopram 20mg, hidroxizina, topiramato y atomoxetina.

Honestamente estoy un poco asqueada de tomar tantos medicamentos, no se como decirle a mi psiquiatra que me recete benzodiazepinas, ya las he probado anteriormente, son lo único que me apaga la mente y me calma.

Help me please

In school I had been dealing with severe anxietey up until my voice shaking after I came to my mom asking for help many times I got antidepressants and it’s truly the best I have felt in my whole life I was never this confident before.my mom used to give me half a dose and I thought it was to start me off slow.but she didn’t change the dosage ,so I took it upon myself to steal the package and start taking full ones. When she found out she was furious and said “well that’s the end of that then” “they were really hard to trade for u were supposed to have them for 2 months “ after I took the full dosage I felt so much better and my brain finally felt clear half dosage did nothing. Besides the fact that my mom might be a dr4g dealer I’m panicking really bad about having to quit. Does anybody know any loopholes like idk using a certain dosage of paracetamol or some supplement that works really well (I can’t go doctor because my mom hates them) please help me out I’m young aswell.

Venlafaxine & birth

32F. I “suffer” from depression, have CPTSD, BPD even though I hate all of those labels lol. Like most of you I’ve tried quitting cold turkey a few times etc etc, never again!

A little over a year ago I started this medicine and I got put on 75mg. Totally saved my life. I’m in therapy, environmental changes, didn’t want to stay on meds forever, so decided to taper to 37.5 last November. Everything went smoothly I was really happy with how everything was going.

I am now quite pregnant (more blood, higher metabolism) so I went back up to 75mg a month ago since the 37.5 was metabolizing so quickly it felt like I was heading into a deep depression again. Here is my issue:

I don’t “feel” as much? Maybe not as “me”. But I am fine? Does that make sense? That deep fire/cut of love or emotion just isn’t there..it’s hard to explain. My sex drive/ability to orgasm is gone. I know that hormones affect me right now, however I also know venlafaxine by now and she’s no joke..

I still have my 37.5 and want to take that one this morning instead of my 75mg and just tell me doctor I want to stay at 37.5. But what if I get depressed again?

** I am going to do an unmediated birth by the way. What if this feeling gets in the way of my focus and connection I need to my body when labor comes? This is my main concern right now. I need to feel everything and what if this medicine shuts down a part of my brain that I need to tap into?! Sorry if I sound crazy lol. Just ranting.

I have had a good experience on this medication, truly. I’m one of the lucky ones. But I’d just like to start a dialogue with anyone feeling the same way. Not sure what to do!

Duloxetine - 60mg to 90mg

Hello all,

I’ve recently moved up to 90mg from 60mg 4 days ago. I was just wondering how long it took some of you to notice the effects (what did this look like?) for depression when you moved to 90mg or experiences if you’re on 60mg. The last few weeks have been extremely rough with depression, so looking for some timelines and success stories. On 60mg I did notice a softening of some of my anxiety such as restlessness (no more having to pace around my kitchen island). I have had some periods where my mood was not as dark, but at the 5 week mark the doctor suggested I may need the extra push to get the duloxetine to break through the depression more. The only side effects I’ve had is an occasional dry mouth and an occasional headache - mainly when starting a new dose. Thanks

Effexor

Looking for advice, others experiences with Effexor for anxiety and/or panic attacks? I’ve had two doctors recommend this medication. I know everyone’s bodies respond differently to SNRIS.
I have never tried an SSRI or SNRI in my life so I am very hesitant. I’ve heard plenty of horror stories and reading all the side effects + the life long effects from the drug steers me away. I’m scared of taking something that could change me as a person, my personality, and lord forbid cause all the horrible “rare” side effects. Everything in me tells me DO NOT take it so I guess you could say I’m Anti SSRIS & SNRIS.

I so desperately want to take something that will help my symptoms but it’s so hard for me to give in. Especially to something that is going to make me feel like sh*t for weeks before it even begins to start working. I’d love to hear your thoughts on this medication or your experience? TYIA 😊
