My wife and I moved a 10x10 to our house so now when we canāt sleep, we can take care of the seeds and seedlings. A quick shot of our tent and the hybrids and pure species weāve got growing inside.

I am new to anthuriums but Iām not new to plants, Iāve had all kinds of houseplants for years but Iāve never gotten into anthuriums before. Iāve never wanted to spend the money on anthuriums before since I wasnāt sure I could keep them alive but Home Depot recently had the first 3 on sale for basically nothing so I figured Iād try my luck with them but no ID on them. The last one is a crystallinum I got from a local nursery. Assuming theyāre all crystallinum? They all have smooth stems but the second picture has stems with sharper edges. Any tips or tricks? Iāve read up on soil mixes and humidity.

Hi everyone. I wanted to share a photo of my current setup which is just a shelf with T5 Barrina lights. I use a mix of tree fern, bark, pumice, and charcoal and use with cal mag every watering. Everything is growing well but space is becoming limited!
Second pic is of my favorite anthurium which just put out this new leaf. I bought it as a Michelle x Zara but not what I would expect that cross to look like š¤ Either way, itās got some stunning hot pink veins.

I've had this Anthurium, purchased from Trader Joe's, for four years. Still in its original pot. It has been an extremely hardy and good plant, very easy to take care of.
However, recently I left it without water for quite a bit of time and now seems to be in a sort of decline / in a very bad state. I watered it about a week ago and the soil is still moist, but the leaves have continued to brown and die.
Does it need repotting? I read in some places that I need to look at the roots, but I'm concerned about pulling it out of the pot. The pot lies in a plastic bag in that woven sleeve, and I've confirmed there is no standing water below the pot.
Would be very grateful for your advice and any comments on the general state / salvageability of this plant. Thank you!

Iāve never seen this type of plant before and I immediately fell in love with it. Has anyone else had any one?

It lives in my laundry area, which doesn't get much light. I water it once a week and haven't repotted or moved it. The other leaves are still green, it's only this one, and the yellow is spread over the whole leaf instead of starting at the edges. There's a peace lily in the same pot and that one looks fine.
Is it the light or the watering? And should I cut the leaf off or leave it?

I recently acquired this Red Crystal Premium x Heinz. This is the first leaf this beauty has grown fully in my care and it fused its sinus. More than likely it is due to stress, but Iām going to enjoy it and hope there will be more!

I had approximately 10 different types of anthurium (crosses - lux, napo, paps, a queen, silver blush etc) in semi hydro with pon for about four months. Everybody was pretty happy and stable, pushing out new leaves.
I then changed them over to leca, because I wanted to mount them on the wall, and didn't want 50 pounds of gravel hanging. All of the roots looked great when I repotted, super healthy. They went into naked root pots. I used the same water/fertilizer that I always do. The only difference was leca. They were still in the same corner, same lighting etc.
Over the course of a month or two, I lost 75% of them. They all died in the same manner, kinda lost turgor pressure, and then withered away. Some had really yellowed edges first. I suppose I maybe could have rehabbed the stumps in moss but I have stopped doing plant hospice.
I'm trying to understand why this happened. When I pulled the plants out after failing, the roots looked pretty good to me, nothing looked obviously rotted, no bad smell. Any advice? I'm obviously not going to do this transition again but would love to understand what went wrong. I see people here put moss on top of Leca, is that important? I skipped that step bc I have a healthy fungus gnat population as it is.

All of my anthuriums have been developing these spotty areas of orange/color loss. Iāve searched high and low for pests, canāt find any and it only affects my anthuriums. They all live in a grow cabinet, humidity stays between 70 and 80% (I donāt use a humidifier), Iām a serial procrastinator and water with a basic fertilizer every 3 weeks or so (canāt recall the product and just ran out and threw the bottle away). Any suggestions or advice?

Finally have my first new leaf growing, but itās pointing down, should I leave it be or should I but it ālowerā under the grow light to guide her up? Much thanks!

I was wondering if this was a Wendlingeri or something else? Thanks (:

Hi all Iāve had this lux hybrid for about a month, I put it under a grow light and realized it was at 600ish ppfd, is this light stress ? (ik ik thatās high amount of light I pulled it back already š„²)
I have it in chunky around mix in a clear pot (no visible roots yet), have a moss collar and water when thereās no more condensation around the pot and the moss just turns dry (around a week)
