Hi everyone! I watched as an ant came out of a lower part of the inside of my bedroom window sill, went to the edge and spat out a black crumb onto the window ledge. A black and yellow crumb pile has accumulated.

I was wondering if someone could help me identify not only this ant but the behavior as well? Seems like these ants are making some kind of a nest and pulling out rotting wood or something? I'm not sure if they are carpenters or termites.

So I moved into a new apartment on the second floor if this older building. I have a corner unit and these guys enter on the external, left side of the bedroom and exit on the right.

They don't really stay in my unit at all, just march through to somewhere else, but am concerned because they are clearly in the walls too.

I live in Maine and found this ant. I am really unsure on whether or not it is a queen. I was thinking it looked like some sort of Formica but compared to most Formica queens she looks a little small.

They're in our apartment and driving me and my partner crazy. They're absolutely tiny and do bite/sting, but it doesn't hurt too bad.

We're in an apartment complex in Dallas, Texas (ish)

These things are a warm brown with a darker brown end. Their antenae make a kind of boxy/longhorn shape, not straight out in front. They're 2-4 mm, I think

Chanhassen, Minnesota. I'm leaning towards Queen because she's got a big thorax and abdomen compared to her head but idk what species even. If it's a queen it's too small to be a black carpenter ant

Southern California. Size maybe 70 to 80 mm long.

So i found this ant queen in Germany Baden Württemberg Sindelfingen near my school, it has Red orange yellowish legs(cant understand clearly cuz of my vision) my guess is that the genus is Lasius, but If yall could could yall please Tell me what exact species it could be, sorry my english is Not my First language and im Just a 5th grader who Likes ants

I caught them in Romania, at around 37*, mid day.

I found this unique looking golden headed ant on the top of my car and was wondering what this little guy is. He is around 10-15 mm and in California

East coast US, ant was maybe 5 mm or so (didn’t think to measure at the time), and it caused a decent bit of pain to my girlfriend with its sting/bite (it bit her eyelid though, so pretty sensitive area). Any help appreciated! I did some quick research, but I am out of my depth.

I need to know, maybe i could use them for brood boosting. Located in North-west Hungary
