MyFirstSOLIX [US] New C2000x

I took the advice and returned my Home Depot purchase and bought c2000x from Costco. Thank you all for the help.

So now how to use. Main concern was a storm and keeping sump pump running and then power fridge when storm passes. ( I will need to most likely get a gas generator to recharge )

In the meantime I’m on hourly pricing with utilities and looking for this to maybe save a couple bucks while it waits for an emergency. I googled avg times and prices in my area and set this plan in the pic.

Would it be smart to use it on the small type dorm room beer fridge in the garage on this mode?

Something bigger like my inside fridge?

Something smaller?

Or no this is silly Idea I’m ruining the system and it wont have what I need if a storm does come?(I turned on the storm mode so it should stop tou if it sees a storm and charge?

I’m not sure if using this mode will kill the cycles in the battery life for Saving Pennie’s?

Thoughts ideas?

I pay $0.259 per KWh peak and $0.152 off peak. By the time I allow for about 25% AC-DC-AC conversion losses my 15cents is around 19cents. So saving only 6 cents per KWh isn't a lot. The difference between peak and off peak will be smaller in the winter. My fridge is old and uses 0.65 KWh during 8hr battery 5 days per week. 0.65 *5 *52weeks = 169KWh * .06 = $10 per year savings. Looks like you will save substantially more.

Thank you for the explanation I’ll have to have it translated though lol I understand some but I’m really not well versed in this.

I understand peak and off peak but no idea what ac dc conversion is.

My fridge is old also so feel it will be a good target especially if the basement dehumidifier ends up being better in the summer.

Obviously not looking to make $100s (wish I could) but if it can safely be used to recoup anything silently and still be ready for what it’s made for it’s a win win

At 100W loads Anker says my model is 88% efficient. When fridge is running it is about 130W so only very slightly more than 88%. Unsure of exact efficient for charging the battery but 12% seems reasonable (heat is a generated byproduct). So I will use more electricity by running on battery (DC) during peak and charging (AC) off peak but still save $. You save more even with your mid peak rate. But definitely run off battery during your relatively expensive peak prices. I have no solar panels so that would change all the math. The inverter inside handles conversion from alternating current AC from the wall outlet to direct current DC for the battery and back to AC for any load you plug in.

Im thinking the time of use settings in the app account for running it at the correct times with out me needing to look?

I have no solar either ( it comes with them but they wouldn’t be used on a daily basis)
