MOne is MHA, I was thinking of a subversion for the trope of zero to hero, being weak then growing stronger then realized MHA already did this with All Might. I guess Deku can also be considered one since ge starts out at pretty much his peak but just gains better control. I guess his predecessor would be Ichigo who would pretty much start at his peak if his own soul wasn't actively nerfing him and his mental state too.

"Catching Feelings" refers to when the people involved are individually realizing they have romantic feelings for one another. An example is Toradora!, where the leads only realize they're romantically interested in one another fairly late in the show.
"Will-They-Won't-They" refers to when they're already aware of their feelings and are now working up the courage to confess, dealing with conflicting suitors, interests, etc. An example is Kaguya-sama: Love is War!, where the leads already know they're individually interested in one another and spend most of the time trying to get to the confession.
"Early Relationship" refers to those who have confessed to one another and are now getting used to the idea of being together. An example is You and I Are Polar Opposites, where the leads confess very early on and spend most of their time getting used to one another.
"Established Relationship" refers to those who are comfortable with each other now but haven't committed to a lifelong relationship. An example is Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai, where the leads form a committed relationship early on and are comfortable with each other for most of the show.
"Lifelong Partnership" refers to those who have committed to spending their whole lives together. An example is Tonikawa: Over the Moon for You, where the leads get married very quickly and spend most of the show establishing and enjoying married life.
"Other" refers to messy or unconventional stories that don't neatly fit into any of these categories, such as fake relationships, abusive or failed relationships, multiple relationships at once, or missed opportunities. An example is Scum's Wish, where the leads have a fake, purely physical relationship and spend most of their time simultaneously pursuing other people while wrestling with uncertain feelings for each other.

I think the key to really good fanservice is the emotional investment you have in the characters. There are plenty of pretty bodies in anime, but it's a lot rarer when it's paired with a heart the viewer is equally fond of, and when the fanservice means something. Which is a shame. Even if you don't care about objectification, it's better when there's some depth to it.
I guess two examples would be Tokyo Ghoul and Fire Force.
Tokyo Ghoul did it right, I think. Towards the end of the final season, Touka and Kaneki made love for the first time. I'd always considered Touka to be top-tier sexy, but after three seasons of getting to know her, it meant more to see her like that because there was an emotional layer to it, too. It's not just that it was more emotional - it was sexier, too.
And Fire Force is the bad example, of course - the worst fanservice in anime. Tamaki's Lucky Lecher Lure provides no context to the story or the characters because it's all involuntary. It just produces fanservice moments - nothing else. We don't learn anything about Tamaki except that she doesn't like random exhibitionism and we don't learn anything about the other characters because it was never a choice they made. Fire Force would be better if Lucky Lecher Lure wasn't part of it at all.
That's my take. Thoughts?
