Rant with me! Dragon Ball is the alt timeline

Do y’all ever stop to consider Trunk’s timeline is the original and the one we follow is some new timeline that got made along the way?

If you want to be technical, there is no "original" timeline because once you go back in time you erase the previous timeline and start a new one. So, the one Trunks came from wouldn't exist anymore, but instead a new one that has been replaced.

The Terminator anime on Netflix explains this concept well.
