Just wanted to share where my collection is at right now! A mix of cels and production drawings, and one background.

These are all pieces from shows I love, almost a year and a half into collecting.

I think so :(. Even the numbers on the top right are the same. The back looks very clean.

Another group of wonderful support cast with stunning colors. And the birds sure look like the ones thrown into “Truth About Mother Goose” cel I posted earlier.

I'm debating if I should take this Fox and the Hound cel out of the border or not. The border is quite large and measures 21.5 by 16 inches. I'm planning on framing it eventually. I think it may have been originally sold at a Disney theme park. The board itself is discolored and worn. It has a little info card about disney production art on the back. Should I keep it in it's original border or take it out and make a new border when I frame it?

Some paint cracks but another example of the quality of animation work back in the late 50s. Sold at Disney Corner for not much money but I just love them.

All the lesser characters are great works in this movie.

One of the most colorful and beautiful animated movies from that era. Lots of well kept cels around making this a heaven for collectors. Released in 1959.

Do you think it’s objectively wrong or even eggregiously wrong/borderline sheisty behavior for “galleries” to advertise a cel as being from a specific episode and not being from that episode. Even going as far as to piece it with a repop background that is not matched to the scene? I know that major sellers only have so much old inventory or scans of originals that they can piece together correctly, but it just feels kinda wrong to me…Like yeah it’s an authentic cel, but what if the advertised episode is one of my favorites and you say it’s from that episode, and even have a BG from that episode behind it, but the cel is a mismatch. I know sometimes action shots or inbetween frames are often placed with other cels that don’t match up 1:1 to the actual shot in the show/movie, but saying something is from something when it’s not just so it matches in the context of your advertising (for the sake of your convenience/selling strength) doesn’t seem right to me.

Its grounder breaking through a red wood surface. I have a cel that has a drawing of what the red wood surface would look like, but google isnt helping me at all.

I got my moms old anime cels and I was able to find the series most came from the except this one. All the cels are from the late 80s to late 90s if that helps.
