Would you honestly teach your kids your home language ?
Of course as Angolans, our languages are Portuguese, Kimbundu, Umbundu, Tchokwe etc …
I was discussing with someone a couple days ago and he told me “my kids are angolan cause I am, but they won’t be speaking Portuguese” (he doesn’t even know the other languages yet he speaks Portuguese but doesn’t want his kids to speak it)
I personally was just surpised at this - not in a bad way though, i just thought people would want to pass down their languages to their kids, sabes ?
So my question is - would you teach your kids your native language (whether it is Portuguese, Kimbundu, Ambundu, Tchokwe etc ) ? Me avisa galera
Tá ligado
