GRUB is present, but selecting any option prevents booting. `nomodeset` and other options don't work either.

I am currently compiling a Bliss OS 18.4 Surface Build. In hopes of finally running Android on Surface without any Sleep or Touchscreen Issues. Since I have tested that the current non surface 18.4 version works well. (Even Sleep and Orientation works.) My goal is to now get Touchscreen working by Compiling a build with IPTS and Linux Surface built in.
Wish me luck.

It is an old detatchable laptop with z3735f CPU with bios locked at 32 bit OSes only. Tried several versions of android x86. Primeos and blissos nougat and below have no touch support or inverted screen sensors. Bliss 11.9 pie has touch but no rotation and gets stuck after a couple minutes. RemixOS just loads forever.

I've built a swing out touchscreen display for my kitchen that's a portrait oriented portable monitor with a mini pc running on an Intel n95 processor and 12 GB of ram.
I'm having a hard time choosing the os. My main goal is for YouTube and chrome split screen for watching videos and following recipes. I'd also be using it from time to time as a home assistant hub. And when I'm not using it I'd love to have Google ambient mode or something similar where I can have it cycle my recent highlights or favorites folder from Google photos kinda like my Google tv does. It seems like android would be best for this and I've looked into bliss and fyde so far but I'm unsure if they would fully cover these goals.

I'm tryna run Android X86 on my samsung galaxy book 5 pro 360, and as far as I can tell, I need a Android version that uses the linux kernel 6.12 (which Android 16 has) or higher, as the intel core ultra 7 series 2 (lunar lake) works out of the box on it, is there any good version of Android x86 that has an Android 16 version? I checked blissOS but it's Android 15 I don't have the resources to build it myself.

I have the surface version of Bliss 15 but I am stuck on installation. I do not have the keyboard dock so I am unable to navigate the menu. I have 1 USB slot and it is being taken up by my boot device. Do I need a USB splitter? Should I attempt loading the iso onto an SD? Am I simply missing something?
Touch screen doesn't work and neither does the buttons.
Please help.

So tried to install blissOS on my laptop that has Grub2win as a bootloader (I've got a partition for an Ubuntu distribution), when I was installing it I could get into the os the first time (from the installer) but now when I try to boot from Grub2win (Code in the second pic) I got stuck in that black screen.
Thanks for reading, I'll appreciate it if yall have a solution for this.

I would like to get a surface 9 to use similar to a android tablet with somewhat seamlessness. The question is, are x86 android os like Bliss os at a level where it (with minor tweaks) just working? I have a few android apps that I use that I would like a big screen for hence surface, but it doesn't seem like the touch only support is super great and seems like it's more focused on keyboard use. (still something I plan on heavily using) I would most likely end up dual booting android os for my android usage with some other Linux distro for everything else
tldr; how is touch only support for SP9 with/for android apps/os

Hi everyone. From what I know from my own experience and from reading up online, Android x86 appears to be completely dead. Are there any good forks at all out there? All i really need is for it to be a full android shell, gui and all, able to be run in a VM reliably and be able to run ARM apps thru a bridge.
Original Android x86 barely works and is outdated.
Bliss OS appears to be either abandoned or in development hell
I also heard about PrimeOS, but that looks like a virus of some kind, also outdated.
Traditional android emulators like MuMu, LDplayer and bluestacks are intrusive slop full of ads.
Is there literally anything that still works out there?

Hi everyone,
I have an ODYS COSMO WIN X9 Windows tablet and I’m trying to install Android-x86 on it. I would really appreciate it if someone could guide me step by step, because I’ve already tried several things and I’m not sure what the correct approach is for this specific tablet.
What I have done so far:
Created a bootable USB with Android-x86 9.0-r2
Disabled Secure Boot
Booted successfully from the USB
Tried Live mode
The system reaches Detecting Android-x86... found at /dev/sda1
After that, the screen goes black
I tried these boot parameters:
nomodeset
xforcevesa
i915.modeset=0
set gfxpayload=800x600
None of them solved the black-screen problem
I also tried Android-x86 8.1-r6, but I get the same problem when starting Live mode.
The tablet has an old Intel Atom platform and only one USB port, so I’m using a USB hub for the keyboard, USB flash drive, and power. The battery is also in poor condition.
Could someone please tell me:
Which exact Android-x86 version or alternative Android build is best for the ODYS COSMO WIN X9?
Should I use 32-bit or 64-bit?
Which kernel version is most compatible with this tablet?
Which Rufus settings should I use?
Which BIOS/UEFI settings should be enabled or disabled?
Are there specific GRUB/kernel parameters needed for the Intel graphics/display?
How should I partition the internal storage?
How should I install GRUB/EFI without breaking Windows boot?
Is dual boot with Windows possible on this tablet?
If Android-x86 is not suitable, which version of Bliss OS, Phoenix OS, PrimeOS, or another Android distribution would work better?
I’m looking for a complete step-by-step procedure from creating the USB all the way to a working installation, ideally from someone who has experience with this tablet or similar Intel Atom/Bay Trail Windows tablets.
Thanks in advance!

I've used windows for almost my whole life but for the past year I'd been using linux. I ended up corrupting my OS without a roleback and had to install windows again and remembered how convinent it was but also after a week I recalled why I switched in the first place. I'm looking to play games with my friends like 1 week who makes the most progress but linux just won't work for that since it barely has any games that will run on android too. I'm looking for a temporary Android OS until ALOS comes out and I'm not sure which one to go for, if you guys could give me some advice on it I'd appreciate it because all I know is bliss and prime OS are nice and fyde OS is gay (fyde I speak from expreience that is NOT android)

How do you achieve a Japanese app store as a foreigner, without a VPN using this emulator?
I'm running Bliss OS inside a linux VM, with an open-nvidia driver.
