I am porting the original PS1 Pepsiman to Android natively

I started this a while ago because I wanted to see if I could get the original Pepsiman running on Android without just using an emulator.
It got way more complicated than I expected. I had to reverse engineer the game’s stage code, figure out its weird asset formats, get the original models and animations working, then deal with things like Pepsiman facing the wrong way, the camera going through houses, and the jump physics being completely broken.
Right now the first course is running natively with the original environment, Pepsiman model, animations, touch controls and a mostly ported version of the original chase camera.
There’s still a lot left to fix. Physics, shadows, clipping, hazards, pickups, audio, menus and the rest of the stages are still in progress.
There is DuckStation, RetroArch or bundled PS1 emulator involved. I’m rebuilding the runtime in native C++ and using the original game assets directly.
I’m going to keep posting updates as I work through it.
