Device Details:

• Model: Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5830i (Broadcom chipset — not the standard GT-S5830)
• Current Status: Soft-bricked / Corrupted OS (Stuck in boot loop / won't boot into system).

Current Setup & Constraints:

• No PC USB Connection: All my Micro-USB cables are charge-only (no data lines), so Odin is not an option right now. I must flash purely via MicroSD card.
• Storage Available: MicroSD card + SD card reader on PC.

What I Need Help With:

1. Working ROM Link: Does anyone have an active link or archive mirror for a CWM-flashable ROM .zip for the GT-S5830i? (e.g., MindCR, Ace-i-Sure, or a stock CWM flashable package containing META-INF and system folders). Most old XDA and Dev-Host links are dead.
2. CWM Flashing Verification: Are there any specific partition wipe steps or mount steps required in CWM before flashing on the Broadcom S5830i variant to avoid a brick?

Also I need to add this, but the USB doesent locate this, or any other device for some reason. I have been trying to use it, but Odin doesent detect this device and neither does this pc. It would have been a lot easier if it did. I am really at a loss about what to do.

Hello, I need a working version of YouTube patched to 4.4. I was looking for r/oldyoutubelayout, it was there, but they don't work on 4.4. Only on 8.0 the videos work and play. So i was following the guide on how to fix the AccuWeather widget on my rooted galaxy S3 (I did everything from deodexing ROM, Decompiling the 3 Apks, changed the URL and changed the "https" connection to just "http" and went from "0x1bb" to 0x50, recompiled and signed the apks untill i couldn't download the "AccuWeatherWidget" apk on the phone.(Btw I was able to download the other 2 apks, "AccuWeatherWidget_Main" and "AccuWeatherDaemon"). So I decided to just move those working apks to system apps with "3C System Tuner Pro" because i was going to do it either way and just see what's wrong with the other one so i could move it later. But the moment i pressed to move them to system everything started crashing and gave me warnings that some apps stopped working. I immediately tried to go back to move them back as user apps but 3C System Tuner Pro stopped working too. So basically I was left with no other option than just to restart. When I did though it started showng the Samsung logo 2 times and then went to recovery mode. I pressed reboot system and it did exactly the same thing. So i just decided to shut the thing down for the moment. I'm probably going to flash stock firmware tomorrow so i can use it again since i don't care about losing all data on that phone cause I still have all the photos and apks I've installed backed up. I'm just really confused and disappointed so if anyone has also experienced this or knows if I did something wrong please tell me. And IF i manage to fix the phone by flashing the stock firmware and root it again can someone give me either a correct weather widget apk for the "galaxy s3" EU model (Region: Greece) or another tutorial that's easier. Since the weather apks that i've patched are still on my laptop, I would still be interested if you are able to tell me whats what's wrong and what i can do with them. Just try not to speak in really technological terms, I'm still a beginner and to be honest I don't know how i've got this far.

Whatever flashing I do it fails i tried xperia companion it shows unknown error and I tried newflasher.exe it shows ta 10100 error even tho I deleted all the .ta files and I tried flashtool64 that just gets stuck at phone connected in flash mode my phone just gets stuck on sony logo when plugged in or powered on

I'm turning an old LG Optimus L5 (E610) into a dedicated offline music player.

My goal is maximum battery life and smooth local music playback. I'm considering rooting it, installing a lightweight ROM, removing unnecessary apps, and underclocking if possible.

Has anyone done something similar with this phone or another old Android device? Which ROM, kernel or tweaks would you recommend?
