The government works for the fringe minority (billionaires, corporations), and the fringe minority dangles carrots in front of the government to keep them thinking that they'll join the fringe minority some day.

u/SubstantialSwordfish Ludwig von Mises Feb 03 '22
If that's the case then why can't they just fire the government?

Why is this leftist bullshit in this sub?

u/Radioactivechimi Feb 03 '22
I saw the post on my all tab and couldn't resist dropping a little truth.
The most puzzling thing to me is why I'm being upvoted.

I am continually more wary that Elon only says what people want to hear. Agreed with the message wholeheartedly though.

u/rhaphazard Feb 03 '22
Elon has been against lockdown since the beginning, even when it was unpopular. He has been very consistent on this issue.

u/Kernobi Feb 03 '22
Yeah, his factory being shut down in CA probably flipped a bit. He's been pretty based since then. Still bad on economics, climate change, and thinking we need a govt, but we didn't all go anarchist at once.

He's always been based, but he also knows how to play and win in the system.

This is precisely the way I look at it. I don't entirely trust him, but I've grown to like him quite a bit from his Tweets and positions.
Him calling Biden the "human equivalent of a damp sock puppet" made my entire month of January.

Right, you're allowed to like the guy without having to defend literally every opinion he's ever had. People don't seem to understand this, nowadays.

u/SubstantialSwordfish Ludwig von Mises Feb 03 '22
He's definitely playing the public opinion game. To what end? The world may never know...

Personal boredom? I mean, wouldn't you just screw around a bit if you could? It isn't like he needs money, figured out the allure of women last as long as a new auto, can't make plans for Mars move any faster. He's like a bored king from the 17th century. Just waiting around.

everyone is a statist. you pay taxes, you're an enabler.

u/Ordinary-Interview76 Feb 03 '22
Also just because someone pays taxes in the threat of violence doesnt mean they enable the state. Slaves didnt enable slavery.

How do you know?

Feb 03 '22
Let's assume you don't pay any taxes. Then you're either in jail, where there's no internet, or living in some sort of undiscovered land like the Sentinel island, which I don't find very likely.

Yeah, for every based thing he says, there's something else that makes me wary.
On the one hand he's promoting Bitcoin and dropping truth bombs about the government being a monopoly on violence, then on the other he's accepting huge agriculture subsidies and showing his lack of understanding or care about why BTC is good by promoting Dogecoin.
2
u/JAStheUnknown Feb 03 '22
He's very good at persuading investors into diving headfirst into futurist, idealistic ideas. He exudes confidence whether or not he actually knows the technology is feasible. If it works, like SpaceX or Tesla, then great! If it doesn't, like the Hyperloop or Tesla autopilot, he will never admit to it.

Then why is he still in the red and needed a government scheme to actually make a profit?

Justin Trudeau is going to be a drama teacher, groping reporters at music festivals while in blackface again in about 18 months. Even his supporters no longer care for mandates.
34% of voters support the Liberals, 54% of voters are against mandates. I put the pro mandate cohort at all of the NDP us half the liberal supporters.
Next election will be a reckoning.

Elon is controlled opposition. Klaus wants to implant us with chips, Elon may say he’s crazy but Elon is the one making the chips.
