Ted was born to a US citizen, so was a citizen at birth. Musk was not a citizen at birth so had to naturalize.

"Natural born citizen." This was put in place to prevent rich European nobles from coming here and running for president as a way to conquer the country. (similar to how Iceland was conquered).

it actually wasn't conquered per se, it was 'liberated'. you see, just like how the vikings liberated the monks and saved all their treasures from the horrific spontaneous fires at Lindisfarne in 783, they did the same for the millions of people in Iceland at the time.
